I was reading about the Paris love locks and it got me thinking:

Evidently for a while, it is been a cultural meme for folks in the "City of Love" to attach padlocks to a certain bridge and throwing away the key into the River Seine below. Of course, this is a form of vandalism, akin to grafitti - and with the problem of the bridge structurally failing due to the weight of the locks!
This got me thinking that such acts of law-breaking has been a meme for quite a long time, as evidenced by the inclusion in Judeo-Christian mythology of the story of "Original Sin of Man" - i.e., Adam being told not eat from the Tree of Life, but Eve egging him on to do it. I can also recall reading about some anecdotal stories of teenage lads committing some crime because their girlfriends asked them to.
