I'm sure it was a patronizing, superficial, paternalistic line like that one to give those incel spree killers the last push they needed.
When they say a man that they have no attraction for him, its not the best news in the world but we can deal with that...
On the other side the lets just be friends line or some lines like that one above, basically tells a man that he is not even a man...more like a puppy or a toy.
I've been told countless time that I'm an assh0le and that they hope I die, zero fvck given actually...but some line like that would really strike me hard.
