Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

Would you attribute to these 4 the quality of being manipulative women anyway? It would be interesting to understand what makes you say that they would have been the ones chosen!
For me, manipulation it's the first thing I cannot respect. Not a red flag, but a hassle

Women choosing was the worst thing to happen. Need to return to arranged marriages and a society that shames women for being promiscious. Not saying we didn't have cheating during an all time high of marriages and LTR. But it was far more secretive and lower in percentage. Women were not made to be the deciders in sex.

It was technology and female abundance that exposed the shortfalls of women choosing. Women didn't have abundance until technology started playing a part in mating.
In the United States, arranged marriage was never a major societal factor.
There was once more shame for sexual promiscuity in the United States. The Sexual Revolution of the 1960s-1970s started it, but even into the 1980s women kept lower body counts than post 1990 (see table below). Those data points are reliable indicators because most Western women are still marrying, but there are more people who never end up marrying than in the past. In 1990 or 1995, it would have been extremely odd for a woman to reach her 40th birthday and have never married.
Women have been the gatekeepers to sex in the United States since before the Sexual Revolution of the 1960s-1970s.
Fewer devout religion practitioners has also increased promiscuity in the USA. Religion's role in a culture is a factor in the shame surrounding promiscuity.
