I was reading about how the Obama administration had Title IX guidelines that seemed to say that a schools could not restrict a person to any biological gender (i.e., anyone can refer to him/herself as whatever (s)he wants, and it got me interested:

my opinion: So taken to its logical conclusion, what is to stop some MALE basketball player who is not good enough to make the men's basketball team simply declare himself a woman and then try out for the women's team? Methinks there will be a schism in the femynist-LGBTQ coalition.

It happens quite a bit, often in high school sports. There is also a tranny mma fighter in Florida, a man who fights women. He isn't even a good fighter, just gorilla muscles his opponents around.

No. They can't, someone in that sport will disqualify them. Or should disqualify them. IMO it wont be fair to either Gender.
