I was reading this article about how Millennial men seem to prefer the "quaint" notion of a wife that is a homemaker, and a particular comment (by "avery") got me interested:

My opinion: Femynist women are a genetic propagation black hole, so those women who have come after have inherited traits from those womyn that were not femynists. Mother Nature gives the victory of genetic legacy to those that are fecund. Most millennials have used online dating. Many, many, many women on online dating sites say very un-feminist stuff such, I will date only men taller than I am in heels (because I love my heels) and I want a man who treats me like a lady. Men see this ALL the time. In other words, in social media and online dating, men are bombarded with the message that women love wearing high heels and want to be treated like ladies/princesses. This is (to men) a strongly anti-feminist message. Maybe the women online are outliers, but if you talk to men who use online dating, they will tell you this is what they see all day. basically, it SOUNDS (online) like women want only men who are super tall and masculine and who pay for dinner all the time. To guys who use online dating, it SEEMS like many, many women are Staunchly supportive of traditional gender roles EVERYWHERE BUT in the boardroom. Women seem to want equal pay (fine) and want me to pay for everything. My married male friends say their wives keep all their pay and expect the husband to pay rent and for tuition for the kids. The wives don't contribute to any family expenses.
