No, it is merely a business decision and good marketing for his companies which is highly likely why he does it.

Plus of course on personal level its a cool thing to travel to space. I'd love to travel there too because it's awesome.
But it has nothing to do with alpha and it doesn't make you into one.

It's a joke. The entire flight is 11 minutes, entirely automated, and only in the lowest altitude of what is considered space for a few minutes. Leave it to bezos to bring you a low quality imitation product that makes him richer.

But now with that said: Not all astronauts is like the guy in the article you are referring to.

Some of them are real nerds these days that live on the ISS space station. So riding rocket doesn't automatically convert you to a thunder alpha. Nor buying a Ducati motorcycle and strapping on it neither makes you alpha either because alpha is a mindset.

You can be as buffed as Arnold Schwarzenegger and still have beta mindset.

Like I said in a past thread re-quoting myself:
