Do you think my retired Senior Master Sergeant is lying about this? Look this guy's been married four times and his most recent one, his wife left him suddenly.A little bit about this guy since he's left the military, he has gotten in trouble with the law several times and been in jail several times. He even invited his ex inmates that he went to jail with to stay at his house and later kicked them out for being drunkards. The shocking part about this guy is he dates minority Trans women as some sort of rebound relationships. One of them is a pageant model. I'm not judging the guy's sexuality but when you act all machismo and straight edge tough among your peers and your dating queers behind the scenes, something's not right lol.....well I guess you can classify him as a modern metrosexual I guess.

Okay the other night, my friend invited another minority transwoman into his house and I even faced timed him and He let me have a conversation with 'her' and it looked like a transgender all right and it told me it got kicked out of the military for being trans. He later told me he refused to sleep with her that night while it was jacking off in the blankets and it ask him to 'help' him. He later kicked 'her' out his house for stealing. He plans on taking 'her' back in the future. Now you got to wonder why he's planning on taking 'her' back in anyways. Maybe he's lying that he did not sleep with 'her' and in fact he did and did some really homo stuff lol.

What do you guys think is he lying? Do you think I should stop talking to this guy?

I'd say you put too much stock into what others think. I don't pay your rent, my guy. You want to shoot pool? Ride motorcycles? Shoot other things, blow something up on a farm or if you have tags, we'll go venison shopping for bullets. I could give a toss about what anyone chooses to do when adding tally marks to their tally whacker.

What I DO however see is that this guy has very off cuff life decisions. I don't see his diddling around with minorities or trans as hypocritical or a questionable act from someone who is supposedly a capable leader. What undermines this guys leadership reputation for me is the fact he's clearly got no regard for the law and invites other lawless individuals into his HOME. He's willingly (and it doesn't sound like knowingly) allowing criminals and revelers to cycle through his house.

Keep talking to the guy if you're keen on keeping your life very interesting, but also be ready for anything to happen at any time.

Lastly, I hate passing judgement, so I'll just share an observation. No matter how accomplished or proven someone is as a leader, even in the military, you can become a POS and undo a lot of things with careless and reckless decisions. Some people absolutely have to be told what to do, even as effective leaders and can't adjust to a corporate civilian life and sometimes not even a blue collar civilian life. It's certainly tragic.

I'm wagering this is playing in your head too, likely knowing who he was while in the service and seeing this kind of behavior now. Sorry man. It'd be really hard for me to just forget about someone. But you know where the line is. If you mean just staying in touch I don't see any harm in it. If keep talking to him means you occasionally go visit and you've seen this kind of stuff first hand, no good can come of it other than interesting stories to share with other friends. But at that point, his misery becomes other people's amusement. Do you really want that to be something you're doing?

Life's full of these opportunities to make 6 in one hand half a dozen in the other choices... Sucks.

I was referring to regression. Now that I think about it, I like that insight and even would wager that it could be very helpful to vets or those who help vets with difficulty adjusting. I'm not ruling out the possibility that he was lacking the foundation for general knowledge cited in your source. Or that perhaps this could explain the relevant ties to a 'reverse failure to adapt' occurring in a large portion of military to civilian transitions? Is that what you're getting at?

Meh. You're not going to like everyone and everyone isn't going to like you. Regardless of effort or history. You're better served and serving elsewhere.

One of the best pieces of advice I got was similar. "If you find yourself getting along with everyone, you're doing something wrong." A piece of advice I think I may have come up with is also in the same category. "If you choose your friends well and surround yourself with the right people, a good life will almost live itself."

Bad company corrupts good morals, etc etc so on and so forth. We are to an extent the environment we choose to be in an perpetuate / improve. Choose a winning team and up will go up.
