I was wondering, do you guys avoid AFC behaviour only because it is constantly proven that it doesn´t work? That is, if giving lots of attention and showering your girl with compliments and gifts wasn´t synonimous with having a miserable relationship in the long run, would you guys put aside the DJ theory?

Well, I'm learning DJing because it works. Only starting to actually apply it. 
But if AFC worked just as well, I'd go back. Since I'm naturally the Nice Guy type. Hey, it's less effort for me. lol

If AFC worked, then we'd be AFC. Cuz in the end, we all want the same thing.
If women were naturally inclined to be turned on by the ones who gave them the most and worshipped them, instead of the primal, masculine types, then we would all be AFC. And we would be happy doing that...we would STRIVE to do that...because the ones of us who didn't would not reproduce.
That's not the way it works, though. Man is the dominant, powerful, ambitious, kingly gender in this particular species. So that's what we strive to be.

being a dj is a lot more fun than being AFC. AFC life is boring and predictable. becoming a DJ, or being a DJ reminds me of the scene in Interview with the Vampire where Louis first sees the world with his vampire eyes. before he was a vampire his life was in AFC land. Afterwards, its like he was transformed into Trent from swingers. Life tastes sweeter being a DJ.
Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

In my AFC stages, I was unpopular, unconfident, and had a low self-esteem. Because I have found myself, I feel on top of the world, I'm getting better grades, I'm more focused, and I'm getting tons of girls. So no, I DJ for a way of life, not because it works.
