Do you add your boss's daughter on Facebook?

My boss at work really likes me. She tries to hook me up with her daughter. She brought her along to introduce to me. Her daughter is not exactly pretty, but she's a 4.0 gpa student in college. I like that! But, I'm not dating a co-worker, that I know.

The daughter tried to talk to me a few times ('cause of her mom?), but I don't feel spark.

Her mom tells me her daughter now has a bf, shows me a pic, disapproves the bf is not mature, looks like middle school kid.

She asked me surprisingly: "You are not friends with my daughter on Facebook?"

I want to keep boss lady happy, I want to keep my job. I am currently her right-hand man. What should I do? Thanks!

You can beat around the bush, and if she finally gets the hint then she gets the hint - but she may take it as a slight to her or her daughter and therefore feel some animosity towards you.

In all reality, this is very unprofessional by your boss to try to hook you up with her daughter, not only that but it puts you in a very peculiar situation.

I'd be straight with her. Tell her you don't feel comfortable dating her because she's her daughter - and hold your ground, and, for good measure, you may want to throw in something about the daughter "not being your type" - just so she doesn't get any hair brained ideas of you not working there anymore so you would then be able to date her....

What I've done so far is to let her feel that her daughter is too good for me. She can find better. I didn't even hint the boss lady with a "no, let's not do it", because that might hurt her ego and put me on blacklist.

The boss lady enjoys talking to me herself. She texts me that she's so pleased with my work with a wink.

I am just waiting for promotion and a raise.

update: I feel the boss has lost interest. I knew it! I am acting too slow.

Well, I tried to post a message on this board, but no reply. I tried!

Today I went to work, I lacked sleep, I was nervous to see her, she called me to do a few things. She is not smiling anymore, that adrenaline rush is gone.

I'll let you guys know how my job goes. I may lose my job, maybe I am just pessimistic.
