Now seriously, I believe its a mix between quitting on their ego cause they honestly cant challenge younger girls anymore for attention and the fear of remaining alone that push them to be more sexually "open".

They say that women reach their sexual prime in their 40's because they know their bodies better and the majority of them have had their tubes tied so their bodies are actually being allowed to ovulate. In my opinion, if a female is actually allowed to ovulate she will be SEEKING and actively looking for sexual satisfaction. Being on any kind of hormonal birth control kills this very normal, once a month, female safari (where the man becomes the hunted lion). I also really believe that having this hormonal drive will naturally make a woman better at sex, because she will be hormonally driven to physically start chasing her own orgasm in bed.You want younger women to hunt for men, you gotta get them off hormonal birth control. I'm actually going to look into non hormonal birth control, and advocate condoms unless she is in an LTR. Looking back, I realized I missed out on a lot of really good, and driven, sex.

Define sexual peak... Most athletic, most flexible, most broadminded, most skilled, sexually fit, most dom/sub, most fertile (I know that comment will get shouted down), most attractive sexually.

Yes 40 year old women can be skilled and fit and atractive and know what they like.
I have also known a few girls in their 20s who absolutely knew what they were doing and what they liked.
I know when I was 17 I could f-ck more often (sigh) but knowledge wise I am a long way from being that guy.

You're talking about how they look. When women talk about their sexual prime, I think they are talking about being more comfortable with their bodies, comfortable with the sexual experience, and being experienced enough at sex to ensure they have orgasms. I've usually heard women talk about it being in their 30s though, not their 40s.

I don't think it is some trick they are using to try to lure unsuspecting men into having sex with them.

Women get another significant shot of testosterone before menopause, which is nature's way of telling her "this is your last chance to procreate - get to it".

That phenomenon may be what is behind this "late sexual peak" claim - in part, at least. I also think it has to do with their becoming more familiar and comfortable with their bodies.
