Anyways, about the content of the thread, I think things need to be taken on a case by case basis. Only give second chances when you feel something has actually changed. If you don't feel like that person's attitude or perspective on the issue has changed.

For example, lets say she goes out to a club without you and you make her feel bad about it and she says sorry but she only said it to make up with you and not because she truley thinks what she did was wrong, dont put up with that.

Make sure they mean it and they are going to do something about it.
