"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

... Or is it all part of their master plan?

Ok, this'll be short and sweet.

Been friends with this girl for over a year. We hadn't talked for about 6 months. Then one day I sent out a bunch of e-mails to people I hadn't talkedto ina while to see how they were. She wrote back and said we should get together for lunch. So we did, I went not having any real expectations. We've always gotten on great and I genuinely enjoy being with her. We ended up spending the whole day together and just hung out and walked around town talking and laughing.

Now I've always been attracted to her, and who better to get together with than someone like her.

Now the problem:

She picked up a boyfriend in the span of the 6 months we hadn't talked. My fault for not doing anything sooner I know. So, now we've made plans to start hangin out more often like the days of yore, and i don't know if I should. Or if I should just bottle up my feelings and just enjoy the friendship we have.

My Question:

Is there any hope or should I just move on? Keep in mind i'd rather steal her away somehow. If there is hope, how would you guys go about it?

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

Your email reeks of classic Afcn'ss you need to read the DJBible.

First off you missed your oppertuinty. You let her become your friends first and once she sees you as a friend first, you will most likely remain one (you have no game, you can't pull this off and even if you did, it won't be worth it to spend all that energy on one girl).

Second of all if you become her "friend" you will become like one of her girlfriends. You will do stuff she wants to do become her emotional tampon and provide her with support while becoming even farther away from getting her.

I suggest you read the DJ Bible! you need it badley.

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

Why do you want a girl who has a boyfriend and invites and meets guys she barely knows for lunch and spends the day with them? Shady business.

Ok, maybe I didn't put this in my original post, but I more than just barely know her. We know each other fairly well to be exact.

I don't know what everyone's problem is with being friends with a girl. It seems to me that it would work to my advantage. And for all you naysayers, I have read the DJ Bible, and much like the real Bible there are things that I don't exactly take as canon.

So, I am her friend, we've known each other for about a year, slightly more. And I never even had a chance with her apparently. I mean come on guys, why are we constantly bound to the DJ Bible. We should think outside of the box, and figure out how all the DJs that have the hots fo their firends can break out of the FZ.

Basically, I'm pushing for new ideas. Maybe only for myself, but i'd like to think that there are other guys like me who want to say eff the system.

The problem is that not reading the DJ Bible is what's keeping you inside the box. The point of the DJ Bible is to open your mind and think outside the box and then go out and field test it so we can be what we want to be. All the beliefs you know until now is what mainstream society wants you to believe (to believe that you are not good enough, to believe to accept what life offers you, to believe to place girls on the pedestal and think they are better then you etc.....).

If you apply everything you learned here, you wouldn't be in the predicament you are in now. I was thinking just like you 2 years ago and I am glad I was able to open my eyes and see all the stupid sh1t I was doing and correcting them. As a matter of fact I would enourage you to go after what you believe in because maybe you do need for reality hitting you smack in the face like a brick wall(it happened to me) and you will finally open your eyes to the truth.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

Hang out with her, just not enough for you guys to become great friends and for you to suddenly be transformed into a giant emotional tampon.

Make sure that when you are with her, you bust her balls a bit and you drop lots of innuendos, etc... that should keep you out of the friend zone until the situation shifts to your favor and she dumps the chump sometime in the near future.

Its not our fault if you don't want to listen to our advice.

Go smother her and spend another year of your life waffling around if thats what you want to do. Come back in a year and then read the DJ bible.

I don't know why you guys are getting so hostile. I already know everything you guys are saying is right. The thing is I have great game, I go out with girls all the time. And sometimes on a lucky night I hook-up at the pubs.

I guess I have oneitis. As much as I can get other girls, I'd rather have this one that isn't all about stupid girl sh1t.

Even though it's traditonally a waste of time, I'd like to devote at least some of it to trying to get what I want, rather than just continuing the island hop from girl to girl and getting tired of them trying their Sex and the City crap on me.

Don't listen to these guys. If you think its worth it (and it's not about to take over your life) then I don't see a problem.

Some of the more devout followers of the DJ Bible are so brainwashed that they'll scream "Next" until they're blue in the face whenever the word "friend" is mentioned; without thinking logically or considering personal circumstances.

The 6 month gap in communication will really help you here, if you can make her see that you've changed from that AFC loser you used to be then who knows.

Now, there are a distinct lack of techniques for turning a friend into a fvck -- mostly because good pickup artists dont tend to address the issue, they just say it's better to move on. In most cases I agree, but I say give this a shot.

I'm guessing that if you just run some solid game, using most of the stuff from the bible and lay on some well-delivered innuendo (don't think about it too much though - panicking about what you've said is decidedly afc) and also some kino then things could go your way. The kino is especially important, but is more of a problem if you haven't been doing it all along...just phase it in.

anyway, good luck but don't get too caught up in it...keep other options open.

p.s what dementia said about ignoring the bf is spot on in my opinion
