"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

Before I get into my question and predicament I want to tell a little story from work yesterday. I was talking to a coworker about this new job I'm trying to get with a girl that used to work with us whose gone somewhere else for more $$. Anyways, she jokingly says we should get married because we've been such good friends, blah blah, and that's how it is isn't it, close friends get married. This was all a joke because she used to like me and I had no interest in her anyways. I told this lady that told me that that friends never become "more" anyways.

Anyways, my predicament that I'm in, is that I've been friends with these 2 girls for several years now and kinda gotten to see them grow up a little. In a way I would describe it as kind of like a brother/sister relationship, in other ways not. Well now that the oldest is a senior and creepin up on her 18th bday here in about a month while I'm in college. Lately, I've began thinking stuff like, maybe we could go out sometime here soon. But then I think about it and doubt that it would ever go further because of the fact that I've know their family for quite awhile now.

I don't know exactly what I'm asking, I guess can close friends really become more, and what advice might anyone give. There's probly some stuff on the "friend zone" i could look at too, but I was wondering what else people might have.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

I did it with a girl i was close with for 3 years. Just flirt alot and add in some kino and take it from there.

If u never flirt with her, becareful, dont just start flirting heavy with her all of a sudden.

Yeah there is "probably" some stuff you could look at.

I'd find it doubtful that this thread will turn up any "new" information about escaping the friend zone. Do a search and find years of posts (and experience) relating to this subject. This is a recurring theme on this board so info is abundant about it.

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.
