"The Kiss of Death Mistake"

You replay the conversation at 2 a.m. She texted back fast yesterday. Today, nothing. Was that smile friendly or flirty? What did the shoulder touch mean?

Every hour you spend decoding her signals drains your confidence and hands her the controls. Women can sense that insecurity from across the room — and it repels them.

One of the "22 Rules" kills the obsession on the spot: assume she likes you, and act accordingly. Sounds too simple. Works anyway.

Her interest tends to rise to meet your expectations. Psychologists call it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

So i entered this forum actually posting stating that my ex girlfriend of 2 years moved away and i pretty much gave a salute and off she went. she wanted me to follow her. She would have been my sugar momma with a "real job" and all but i wanted to stay back and make my own way. pave my own path. yadda yadda.

So we're done. we occasionally text but that's it.

But the way we met. is contrary to all things on this forum. which is why i wonder if these "rules" apply to all females. or generally speaking GETTING females.

I was working at a department store. i saw this chick come in with her parents. she was my age. but just out shopping with her parents. we made eye contact that was it.

Days and days go by even weeks. i keep noticing on the same day at basically the same time. she's with her parents and i ALWAYS notice her because she made it a point to make sure she walked by my department every single time.

one day in particular i was told to go restock a totally separate departments merchandise. and this was the first time i was able to talk to her freely. she came into the isle i was working on and i made a funny comment i picked up a stupid toy and said this looks like your style you should buy it. and she laughed and that was it.

a week went by and this time she came to my register and was talking to me. she literally upfront asked me after some friendly banter between us is there any way to contact me. i said yeah i mean you can Facebook me. etc.. and there you have it.

she told me she would always come in to see a "certain" person. she was very direct with her emotions and i ate into them. BUT suddenly and without notice (about 2 months after) she said i need time. space.. etc.. she went from HOT to instantly cold.

but since i had not invested any time into the situation i said.. well that sucks.. what did i do? she said nothing i just need time. I said ok and that was that. we didn't speak for like 3 weeks. i honestly thought i would never speak to her again.

when suddenly she texted me and we were speaking again.. the rest is history.

thing is.. What she did. Any one of you would say the chick is playing games and getting pipe from some other guy NEXT!

so obviously the DJ rules don't apply to every situation. the problem is finding what situations they apply to.

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

you didn't make a move, another guy laid pipe.

he leaves her, she feels lonely, texts you and you eat it up.

Depends when you feel insulted. I've had a similar situation, this girl is literally begging me to go over and smash her back doors in, but I wont.

She flaked and missed the boat.

Your choice.

EDIT: there are no rules, just tips and guidelines.

Only rule is: BE HAPPY

Off the top of my head, I know there is one rule that always applies:

NEVER PUT A WOMAN ON A PEDESTAL.

It doesn't matter if you've known her for two weeks or have been married twenty years... The biggest ingredient of this recipe is the smothering (i.e. over-communicating or information overload). Keep the mystery -- and the relationship -- alive.

PUA material will teach you how to pick-up BPD women and nutcases (low self-esteem women). I like SoSuave because it has a different mentality, the mentality of self-improvement. How can you get a high quality and self-assured woman if you don't feel confident about YOURSELF?

As for rules, there's only really one. Be a man. That's it. Be a man. It doesn't mean you have to be a fist-pumping alpha male. It just means don't take any sh!t, and do whatever you want with no regrets. Sometimes that means breaking the rules.

I'm gonna argue -
You go on the pedestal!!

Once you've put yourself there, theres no room for a woman, so you don't have to worry about it.:D

This is definitely a golden rule. Should be required class at like 4th grade or something...

How do you know she was not getting pipe from some other guy during those three weeks? When that didn't work out, she returned to her second best option (you). Women do this sort of thing all the time. I was seeing this one girl for a couple of weeks. She had recently broken up with the BF. She said that she dumped him because they had little in common, plus he had difficulty getting it up. When I made it clear to the chick that I wasn't interested in anything long-term with her, guess what she did? Went right back to her ex.
