I want to start reviewing some movies that have some relevance to DJ's and I just watched this one so let's start with it.

This is a romantic comedy starring Ryan Reynolds, Amy Smart and Anna Faris

The movie starts with Reynolds an overweight "nice guy" with a huge oneitis on Smarts character, who is firmly in the friends zone. He tries to spew his feelings over her and gets told she "loves him like a brother" while a bunch of people laugh at him. Reynolds skips town yelling he's going to become "somebody"

Fast forward 10 years and Reynolds is a music manager, is slim and his usual good looking self, and a real player with the ladies, having learned from his old mistakes

He gets told to escort Ana Faris' character (who is hilarious), a crazy, terrible singer who is only popular for being attractive. Hijinks ensue and their plane gets rerouted to Reynolds old hometown. Inevitably he bumps into Smart's character, and starts trying to hook up with her.

Initially he tries his "player" moves on her but Smart has main character shields so is immune to them, Reynolds is also trying too hard to look cool and comes off douchey

Eventually Reynolds drops the act, and just starts being himself, and surprisingly this actually gets Smart into bed, but his old oneitis comes back and he freezes and doesn't **** her

After this he goes back to being a douche, and another "player" played by Kevin Klein starts moving in on Smart using "nice guy game" . He eventually strikes out too.

Eventually, predictably Reynolds spews his feelings as he did 10 years earlier but this time Smart buys it and they hook up, roll credits.

Analysis

Whoever wrote this movie DOES know about how women work, as Reynolds character is a convincing ladies man and drops a lot of red pill truth early on in the film, but sadly it does devolve into typical hollywood territory, with a nonsensical ending, in which Smart this time accepts him using the same tactics he did 10 years ago, and the only conclusion we can draw is that this time it worked because Reynolds is better looking, because he goes back to pretty much the same personality he used to have.

There is an interesting line about Smart's character only dating *******s, and they say that she's "grown up" since then, so it's interesting the movie does acknowledge that she was immature for dating douchebags, you wouldn't see this in more modern movies as women are infallible in them.

Score

I give this movie a 7/10, it is entertaining, but you will roll your eyes at the end, Anna Faris is a joke character but she's really funny, she always plays dumb bimbos very well imo, Reynolds is Reynolds so if you usually like him you will here, and Amy Smart is a weird chick i can't decide if hot or not. Give it a watch if you are struggling for a movie to watch on netflix, but disregard everything it says about women AFTER the 30 minute mark.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

Amy smart was indeed good looking, now she needs **** load of make up.

Making me wonder what make women over 30 decline that much.
