"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

I’ve noticed that beginning posters generally don’t read (or at least don’t understand) the DJ Bible. It’s no surprise, given that it’s a few hundred pages of the same few things said over and over again. When it isn’t redundant, it’s contradictory. We need a short version that 1st time posters can read quickly, and understand before posting a stupid question.

Anything to add (or subtract)?
Frequently Asked Questions:
1. My Ex sent me an e-mail/ text/ myspace list/ singing telegram/ smoke signal, etc. Can you read her mind for me?

A: No. Forget the Ex.

2. My gf needs to slow down/ be friends for a while/ too busy to return my calls/ has a lot of schoolwork, family problems, etc.

A: You’ve just been dumped. Women will never say “I’m not interested anymore.”

3. My gf doesn’t want to base our relationship on physical affection

A: You’re revolting to her, AND you’ve just been dumped.

4. I’m too tall/short/bald/smart/stupid/poor/Mongolian to get girls

A: These are excuses to hide your fear of getting shot down. But it’s not a big deal to get shot down. Moreover, exercise, clothing, and posture are all far more important than natural handsomeness or a fat wallet.

5. I can’t seem to get a girl over 22 without kids, rolls of fat, and bi-polar disorder.

A: Hmmm . . . all right, if you live in America, you may have a good point there.

6. How do you handle being given excuses instead of a phone #? Or being stood up/blown off/’I have a boyfriend’

A: You don’t stick around for more! These excuses mean low interest: it DOESN’T MATTER IF THEY’RE TRUE OR NOT. Just shrug and leave.

7. Is it okay for me to keep dating this girl I have no long term interest in?

A: Yes, it’s okay. Do you think this girl has ever, even once, continued dating a guy when he wasn’t marriage material? Do chicks ever worry about breaking YOUR heart? Ha! Of course not! If she says “are you my boyfriend?” don’t lie, but until then all’s fair.

8. Where are all the good posters? This place has really gone downhill from two years ago . . . (whine whine)

A: Check the archives from two years ago. Everyone back then was moaning about how much worse the board was than 2 years before that. And so on.

9. I’m not a chump (AFC). I get girls.

A: You can get girls and still be AFC. The question is: Are you willing to supplicate to any one special girl to keep her around? Or are you scheming to get one special girl back, even while dating others? That would be AFC.

10. Cmon, is there any way to get my ex back?

A: The ONLY way known to ever work is to immediately move on, cut ALL contact, accept that it’s over forever, and date others. Notice that this is also what you do if you don’t want her back. Well, it works like a charm. They will often start calling and bugging you. Alas, even if you do get her back, it will be from hurting her Ego, not raising her interest. The second relationship won’t last, so enjoy the sex while you can.

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

Actually, no! The link called "FAQ" is just instructions on logging in, filters, and posting.

Of course the answer to ever question is somewhere in the DJB, but it's obviously hard to read in that form (since people keep asking these questions over and over).
