Do we have any on this board?? Imo its the ultimate DJ job (apart from a porn star lol).

Because i was thinking of ideas for how i can be self employed all my life but careers info is **** for a 17 year old like me to start a business because your not taken seriously enough.

So far the only real idea ive had is trading in commodities and possibly stocks n shares.

Any way im blabbin lol so il get to the point any one here wanna share tips and stories to become a entrepreneur?????

at this point i'd say i am. i started an ebay biz a little while ago...though i've realized it's not quite as profitable as i would have thought. it can be, but product sourcing isn't easy. and i'm not making as much as i want for the effort/time i'm putting in. making money should be easier, imo.

i'm working on two other companies now and pushing the ebay to the side sort of.

i think there's other guys here with a lot more experience than me, so i'll shut up and let them talk. ...sifer, backbreaker, a-unit, str8up...

yeah talking of ebay i was thinking that i could go to NY and buy designer clothes their because apparently there 1/3 of the price than they are here in the uk and sell them on ebay but im not too confident i will be able to get past the break even mark very often.

Get the book "Rich Dad Poor Dad" by Richard Kiyosaka. It talks about what the Rich thinks when it comes to money. You should that book along with some of his other books.
You need to build a fondation so read!!!! Read everything on how to make money etc.
Here are some books, just check them out and see what you are interested in
"Think and Grow rich" Napoleon Hill
"Rich dad Poor dad series" Richard K.
"Over the Top" Zig Ziglar
"Trump: The Art of the Deal" Donald Trump
"Beating the Street" Peter Lynch

There are so many books.
Invest in your knowledge first by reading all you can so when the time comes you can make money work for you.
Do not start on Ebay because you don't know what you are doing unless you do know what you are doing.

Becoming rich/ making money takes time but It is sometimes easier than working for money.
I am not experience on making money but I do know how because I am investing on my knowlegde right now by reading books. So when I finish High School I will have a strong fondation.

SO READ ALL YOU CAN!!!! GO OUT AND LOOK DOR BOOKS ON PASSIVE AND PORTFOLIO INCOME!!

Could you elaborate more on your ebay business? What did you sell, how did you set it up, how did you set up your supply chain etc etc.

i wanna start a business. i have ideas come to me occasionally... almost kramer-esque in the way that you wouldnt think of them normaly. and an ebay business always sounded good to me, but im to young to get a credit card and i doubt my dad would want me piggybacking on his.

I started up a Tourism- and Real Estate agency 3 weeks ago. It's sh!tloads of work. When I get some free time on my hand I'm going to make an extensive post with tips and of the mistakes I made.

Btw there is no need to read tons of books. Just go to a Barns'Nobles and get your self a 'businessplan for dummies' book. That's all you need to get started.

dannowillbookem dude if you cant get a credit card why dont you-

1.) Get a job and get a debit card.

2.) (Do what im doin) and telling my mum she isnt giving me the money shes "investing" it lol after all the whole point of starting a business is to make a profit so write down every thing that has cost your parents to help and promise to pay them back plus extra in a years time lol. Good luck

On the books front its debatable about whether you should or shouldnt buy tons of books and i can see why people say you shouldnt but seein as im litterally doing f*** all this summer i mayaswell cram my head full of knowladge unstead of rotting my mind on day time tv lol.

Btw on the poor dad rich dad series how many books are their and what are the names because i was on amazon and waterstones websites and it was too confusing lol.
