What was the most influential post you ever read? I mean the one that REALLY inspired you and got you off your ass?

For me it was "The Secret of the Jerk" by Pook.

DOnt you think it would make more sense if the Bible was divided into more intuitive sections such as:

- Are you shy? Read these:

- Having trouble getting over your ex? Check this out

-Trying to hook up with a friend? etc etc etc

I think so.

So post your biggest problem that you need solved.

I know I cant rewrite the DJB myself and Nick certainly doesnt have the time. But maybe its time for all of us to join together and make the next chapter more intuitive and interactive.

I dunno.

Just a crazy idea. So crazy it might actually work!

For the record I do not approve of (even backhanded) shots at hardworking mods.

If there was one thing that got me out of AFC dom it was the DJBootcamp by MoTU and a certain harworking mod.

Too many inspirationnal posts. They just need to read every now and then when they have the time. I for 1 find the bible alot more informative then the forums are at this moment. I've found some pretty amazing posts in the bible and the hs bible.

The WHOLE FRIGGIN Bible is inspirational.

But there really are a few key people that simply are the most articulate and eloquent in their writing... I mean not to knock on Senor Fingers or anything, but IMHO he is not the BEST poster on the forum, and there really is no BEST, He's at best just the next Pook, or the next Anti-Dump... But really the sum of all the (worthwhile) posts on this site is MUCH greater then the sum of any ONES persons contribution.

That is why this site will continue to get better and better over time... but alot of it is simply a reiteration of the stuff that was said before... the game simply is NOT that complicated.

Why complain about the newbies? They will always come. Some will learn, some will flame, and others will act like they are ontop of the world. Help the ones that want to learn, Allen will ban the flamers, and correct (NOT FLAME) the ones that are "King of the World." For the ones that want to learn, just tell them to read the bible and join a Bootcamp.

I am disappointed in some of you guys.

With the energy you put into trashing my idea, defending the mods and indulging in personality worship,

You could have simply contributed a useful link.

But for the sake of argument I will address a few concerns:

1. I am not dissing any of the mods or Nick, who has done a fantastic job to date. I am actually trying to help them out by compiling a more condensed and user-friendly version of the Bible. An interactive guide that people can use to solve specific problems.

2. There are more newbies now than ever. A lot of these redundant posts can be eliminated if these guys can find answers to their questions beforehand. Right now that is very difficult.

3. This is not a pissing contest. I did not want you guys to tell me who the best poster is. I really dont care! FUKK the posters!!! I am interested in CONTENT.

Okay, having said my peace, here is a proposal for you all.

Contribute your best post for the following categories

INSPIRATION - Got you off your ass and outside.
APPROACHING - Best openers
PHONE GAME - for all those "should I call her" posts
CONVERSATION - As in how to have an interesting one
DATE IDEAS
BODY LANGUAGE - ways to convey confidence

The Bible is categorized but not very well. It can be improved upon. But i think Nick does a great job on it.
