"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

ok heres the story: there was a school dance this past week and i invited this girl that i knew liked me and i liked her. i never really danced before but when i got to the dance, i just started copying what other people were doing and it started to feel natural. we grinded a bit and danced to a couple of slow songs, then we talked a bit outside. everything sounds good right??

well the problem is... my friend says that Amy(the girl) realized that she doesnt like me anymore WHILE we were dancing. and my friend also said that i wasnt dancing that great and i looked stiff. so she basically lost interest in me because i cant dance!!! damn how bad of a dancer can i be????

i know that i need to go to more dances so i can get better but right now there are none so.... i was wondering if u guys have any tips or something that i should know while grinding/dancing.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

Did she show you that she is not interested or "your friend" said so? I'm a bad dancer too and I have low confidence (dancing) too but I just do some simple lean and drop shoulder moves, when grinding I mirror the gal. Hey stay around till you find out that she is really not interested!

yeah by the end of the dance, she didnt wanna dance with me as much anymore.

we were sitting around with her friends i asked her to dance and she said shes taking a break. so i walked around and talked to some of my friends. i came back and asked her again and she said wait. so im thinking wtf..... then when her friends started to dance she told me lets dance one more time. i told her im no booty call and she was like well if u dont want to dance then we dont have to. at this point i was already thinking wow this girl is a ***** NEXT. but then i just ended up dancing with her again because shes my sis' best friend so i couldnt disprespect her.

so yeah i need some help on dancing. and also what do u guys think shouldve done in the situation that i just described?

Dancing is something no guy or woman can teach you over the internet. You actually have to get out there and do it. The saying "Practice Makes Pefect" is so true.

Personally, it's happened to me a couple of times and I'm actually a good dancer. It's where I make about 30% of my money with women. The things guys don't realize is that you don't need to "grind" to be a good dancer. I see people on this board relate things to movies all the time and I'm always like "yeah right", but in this situation, a good movie to describe what I'm telling you would be "HITCH".

It's called the two step and good for hip hop/r&b music. Not too sure about anything else, but basically all you do is rock from one foot to the other. If the girl decides she wants to get close, then get close, but not for too long. (as much as she throws her butt on you, a girl really doesn't want your di** all up on her a**) While she's close grab one of her hands and spin her around bringing her face to yours. Continue to two step.

If you can get this down, get fancy with it. Next time you spin her, spin her so that her arms wrap around your neck.

GRINDING IS NOT DANCING!!! Good luck
