how can you tell the difference between which ps 3 u have? im not sure if i got the 40 60 or 80 gb one...

Hook it up and go through the system settings. It'll tell you how big the harddrive is.

Yes the Wii version uses the Wii controller to make the guitar wireless so that it can connect to the Wii

Its because the Wii Guitar is .. well A "Wii" guitar and not a PS3 guitar ... you will indeed need to get a PS3 version of GH3.
