Difference between being lean or skinny? What am I?

Sup SS,

Been working out consistently for around 4 months now putting on some muscle mass and getting some strength gains and I fit my clothes better now, and can significantly lift heavier then when I first started.
However, people still call me skinny which :cuss: me off as I know I'm lifting in the gym and watching what I eat as I'm about to go into a cutting phase and so a natural effect of this is obviously lower bodyfat %
People see this and are like :nono: 'Dan you're too skinny around your waist' or my personal favorite 'I can see your ribs' and I try to explain to them that in fact what they're seeing is a lean physique but they don't listen. :down:

Regardless I want your guys opinion, am I lean or skinny? Personally I say I'm lean, I have muscle mass particularly across my shoulders and pecs and when I start this cutting phase and drop the calories I'll hopefully get down to 8-10% bodyfat for my abdominals to show. Would you agree with this thinking?

Youre skinny man.

not utterly skinny, you have potential there, you need to bulk up, probably about 10 - 20 lb of muscle on top, you will look lean when shredded.

As I said - you have potential. good diet and a lot of lifting would do you well. however , if you go on a cut now, there will be nothing left of you. :D

Besides - Abs on a skinny guy = boobs on a fat girl. They dont count.

Start up a workout log, state your aims and goals. Diet plan etc... plenty of lads here to help.

dont get down about being skinny, its a starting point - I was there a few years ago.

Best advice from me - eat clean, train hard - DONT go on a cut, keep bulking. personally ive never been on a cut. im lean enough. IMO -

You will notice the difference before your friends and family do. People will alk shiit, take the piiss and try to get you down. FVCK'EM. Do it for you.

Yeah dude....you are pretty skinny. Definitely no need to cut. Just bulk up and stay lean, you will look big and ripped.
