"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

Did I kind of hook my best friend?

So I am in the friend zone, I know great right? Well I am crazy about this girl and I do want to be with her, and taking stupid advice I told her I liked her and that we should be more than friends. She told me she didnt know how she felt and she felt confused, etc. She also said that she felt comfortable around me and could be herself and act stupid silly, whatever. So because she said this this obviously pissed me off but I did not show it. After reading through PUA stuff and psychology things I realized that I had changed. Before I was able to go out and hook up with girls and have fun but because I started liking my best friend I reverted to almost like a girl (extremely emotionally). I snapped out of it and said to myself that I need to act like a man again. Of course I still like her but I didnt want to look like a p*ssy (overly needy or desperate). So last weekend I went out with a mutual friend of ours for her bday in the city. I walked into the club confident and back to being the man I was before I started like my best friend. I actually had the choice between 3 girls! I chose one and hooked up with her. Pretty sure that our mutual friend told my best friend that I stayed over this girls house and hooked up with her, which Im glad to cause some type of jealousy. So I basically used the self-fulling prophecy principle last weekend that I looked good and girls wanted me and it worked. Also, me not hanging out with my best friend last weekend worked (scarcity principle) because I would hang out with her each weekend. She actually texted me that night that she missed me. So for Halloween weekend me, my best friend, and her 2 friends went to a crazy club in the city. Me and my friend drank and also did Molly and we were both pretty wasted. She was really cold and she took my hands to warm her up (in my head I was like whatever she's cold). Then she said none of us here are hooking up with one other. So I responded with well I am hooking up with a girl tonight. I got up to get a drink (meanwhile she already had 2 drinks in front of her) and she followed me to the bar. She grabbed my arm and rested her head on my shoulder, then she grabbed my hand, and was rubbing my back. I didn't completely ignore it cuz we she grabbed my hand we were like massaging our hands. Then we went to the dance floor and we were all dancing like maniacs but I went to her guy friend and told him I am going to make out with a random girl. I found some girl, danced with her for like 3 seconds, and then made out with her. Then I walked away and continued dancing. Throughout the night I danced up to the DJ booth (I was really wasted) and was kinda just raging by myself and then I would turn around and my best friend was there. So in my head I was thinking that with all that went down and her following me that she is getting more attracted to me and I am slowly digging my way out of the friend zone. Only problem was at one point when we were raging she said, "your like my best friend." This kind of bothered me of course but I pretended like I didnt hear it and I didnt respond. Her second to last bf of like 6 years was her best friend and almost like a brother to her but things went south in their relationship. So I was wondering what do you guys think? Did I hook her yet? When she grabbed my arm and laid her head on me after she followed me to the bar, was that a sign of her being more attracted to me?

P.S.- Like I said earlier I really do like this girl and could see myself in a long term relationship with her, so this is a long work in progress. I've read articles that girls fall in love much much slower than guys do and their perception on a guy can change in a second, month, year, days, whatever. I am not going to dwell on her and put her on a pedestal like I used to. I am going to keep going out with or without her, having fun, and hooking up with random girls until she realizes what I am to her. I feel that using the scarcity principle and a bit of jealousy has worked as of recent.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

Woman tend to want what they can't have. You made yourself completely available by telling her you like her, then when she rejected you.. you turned around and said ok cool, and did your own thing. You reacted like a pro DJ would. This confused the living sh!t out of her.

I hate to break it to you, but the feeling is almost always temporary in these situations. The thing is, whenever you decide to submit to her frame, she will lose all respect for you. You probably could of had drunken sloppy sex with her that night when she was giving you signals, but now she feels rejected, she's sober, and even more confused than ever.

You are at a crossroad here. You can remain friends and submit to her frame, or you can have her submit to your frame. Regardless, the events of these past few nights will make sure that your friendship will never be the same again. It will either be extremely awkward, ended, or a short romantic fling before she decides that "dating her best friend wasn't right" for her.

In all honesty, I would just move on. Continue being friends with her, but have her submit to YOUR frame. Let her lust over you a little bit if she wants and start using her as social proof when you go out. Woman will pick-up on the fact that she wants you but you don't want her. Why do you think you were able to kiss-close a girl after 3 seconds of dancing with her? Exactly.

Best analogy I can think of is if a fat girl wanted to be with you and you were unattracted to her. Then she goes and gets Lipo and some plastic surgery and looks bomb, has guys chasing her.

You can't really shake the image of her as a fat girl but your also attracted to the new girl, who is looking good. There is a mental conflict there.

I agree with what you guys are saying but doesn't the fact that she said that out of the for of us, no one is hooking up and when she said to me that i was like her best friend kind of negate the signals that she was giving me? That doesn't make sense to me unless that was a test or something.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.
