"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

My next approach was closer to the exit of the store these two latin girls HB7.3, and HB7.6 were walking in the opposite direction.

Me: Hey guys, help me out, I need a female opinion. Do you thinks it’s good for a guy to wear a pink shirt?
HB7.6: (Both of them stop, she is clearly thinking, but stays silent)
HB7.3: Sorry what?
Me: Do you think it’s alright for men to wear pink shirts?
(their English wasn’t so good)
Me: Like red, only a lot lighter? (pointed to a bracelet one of them had on)
HB7.6: Oh, you good in pink, but not dark, light like that. (points to a girl walking by wearing a light pink sweater)
Me: It’s not for me, I thinks it’s a bit too feminine.
HB7.6: No it looks good.
Me: Where are you from? I hear a bit of an accent.
HB7.3: We’re from Brazil.
Me: Oh wow, I’ve been all over Europe and middle east, haven’t made it to latin America though. How is it over there?
(Both of them started yammering something –Oh it’s great I love brazil,)
Me: Is it dangerous though? (what I should have said was, is it exciting, not “dangerous”)
HB7.6: No it’s fine, you should go. (HB7.3 was nodding along smiling)
Me: Thanks for the advise.
( I walk off)

Stupid move on my part to eject from that set. Both of them were very receptive, and very good looking. Plus I was kind of hoping WestCoast1492 would wing me, but since I didn’t really announce that I was gonna sarge those two, he just stayed to the side.
One more thing to note, at one point as one of them was answering, my cell went off, I flipped it open, hit IGNORE, and kept on going like nothing happened.

My next set was in Barnes&Noble again. Two set HB6.7 and HB5.6 standing by the theatre arts. WestCoast1492 and I decided that it was becoming way too easy to just do simple approaches, so to earn points, we added two conditions, one being that you must stay in the set for a minimum of 5 minutes, and the second that you must switch the topic of the conversation. So. . .

Me: Hey guys, need a bit of advice, what book what book would you recommend from here?
HB6.7: What are you looking for?
Me: I need something for class, any kind of classic literature, maybe a play or something.
HB6.7: What class?
Me: Art history, I have to take it, and the professor wasn’t too specific.
HB5.6: We don’t really know.
Me: Well what are you reading?
HB5.6: Oh these are monologues?
Me: Monologues?
HB6.7: For acting.
Me: Oh wow, you’re actresses?
HB6.7: No just her.
Me: What kind of acting do you do? I have a couple of stand up comedian friends, always amazes me how much prep time they put in to work a room in a show.
HB5.6: I’m practicing for an audition for Disney.
Me: For a movie?
HB5.6: (smiling) No.
Me: Theater then, maybe opera, you have a very nice voice.
HB5.6: It’s for the Disney parks in florida, I want to play Cinderella.
Me: That’s gotta be hard, so you’re gonna move to Florida?
HB5.6: If I get the part.
Me:I Like it down there, last time I went was about 5 years ago. Which parks did you like more, the Disney parks or the Universal Parks?
HB5.6: I’m a Disney girl, I go almost every year.
Me: That’s cool, it gets hot down there though, plus the hurricanes.
HB5.6: But it’s not cold.
Me: So what do you think of this one (show her some Shakespeare play)?
HB5.6: That’s pretty good.
Me: Well listen, thanks for the advice, I hope the audition goes well.
HB5.6: Thanks.
( Walk away)

This conversation was actually a lot longer then it is here, I just don’t remember it all. That’s the gist of it though. I was getting good rapport with HB5.6 after I dropped the comedian line, but I couldn’t hook HB6.7 she was freezing me out, turning away a little.

After this set WestCoast1492 and I drifted through the mall looking for more targets. I did a couple of very quick approaches, and tried a line on a girl on an escalator. All of this led us to Target. It was WestCoast1492’s turn. I spotted and hb7.6 for him, said go, and walked off to another isle with a woman, HB6.2, at least 10 years older then me. We were by cooking utensils. The conversation went about 15 minutes, and I barely remember anything. I went with an opinion opener on spice racks, we talked for a while, and I was getting some serious IOIs, a lot of smiling and eye contact, she kept restarting the conversation after I let it lag, and she actually asked me to pull out a paper for her so she could write down a few names of good restaurants in the city (turned out she is a food critic and a chef). The only paper I had was a crumpled EZ Pass envelope, that just happened to already have a couple of numbers on it. (no, not past # closes, just business numbers) I think if I asked for it, she would have given me her number without a question. I seriously need to just start asking for numbers. I exited the set because WestCoast1492 kept floating around, and I really wasn’t interested in HB6.2 considering her age.

As it turns out, WestCoast1492 lost the little pair of balls he grew earlier and didn’t go through with his approach.

After this, we scouted for more targets, I was riding high, but WestCoast1492 didn’t want to loose so badly that he would owe me two meals. (if I have double his score). We ended up at a Fridays, and a little situation unfolded, I didn’t act on it, but I probably should have:

About 1 table down there was an HB5.2 sitting eating something by herself with a big glass of something clearly alcoholic. I was tempted to go and sit with her, or to invite her to our table, but ended up doing nothing. What should I have done if anything?

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

So neither of you did any direct approaches?
I finally did, the 10000 character limit forced to to split the post into 4 parts, I'll make sure to keep it as one next time. Anyway:

As we were leaving the mall we passed a stand with an HB9 working there. We walked right past it, and then WestCoast1492 got me to go back and engage her. For a few days now he’s been talking A LOT about doing his first direct approach. I haven’t done any direct approaches either, mostly because I don’t think they are that good to use unless you can automatically generate attraction based solely on your appearance, smile, whatever . . . He tempted me with a reward, him taking care of a car for nyc for the coming Friday (Friday the 24th should be an amazing night).

We walked back to the area of the stand, but the girl was busy with some asian guy who was interested in buying something. So we went to an adjacent IPOD store to watch. It was actually 2 stands, right next to each other. One had the HB9, the other one had an HB7, and there was a guy, who clearly worked there as well floating around the two.

After the asian customer walked off, and the HB9 was sitting at a tall chair by the cash register I went in. As I walked up to the stand, the guy who was floating around kind of tried to get in front of my path, so I sped up a little and walked by him to the HB9…

Me: Hi.
HB9: Hi How are you? (all smiles, but then she is doing sales…)
Me: Good, you?
HB9: Good.
Me: I couldn’t think of anything good to say, but I just wanted to meet you.
HB9: (She had a very bid smile plastered on her face now, WestCoast1492 even saw this from some distance) What’s your name?
Me: Mike. (Just locked eyes and extended my arm for a handshake)
HB9: (Shook my hand) **she said her name, but I forget, I heard a lot of names that day, I think she said** Mika. We have a lot of salts and products from the dead sea here (waves her hand at the stand).
Me: From where? ( I didn’t hear her clearly)
HB9: The dead sea.
Me: Oh that’s cool, I was there in January, went swimming with a small cut on my arm. It stings. Where are you from? (I detected and accent, and I was 90 percent sure she was Israeli)
HB9: Israel.
Me: That’s so strange, you’re the third Israeli I met today. (yeah, probably not the best line to have used at that point, but it was true)
HB9: Blah Blah Blah (starts talking about the stuff on the stand)
Me: ( Cut her of in between words) I don’t really care about this stuff (wave my hand towards the stand) I was more interested in you.
HB9: Oh thanks, I have a boyfriend.
Me: I’m not interested in your boyfriend either.
HB9: (Continues to smile as the guy who was floating around the two stands comes up behind her. He was standing behind the stand on the opposite side from me, so I assume he heard pretty much everything)
Me: Well listen it was a pleasure to meet you.
( Walked off.)

I definitely came on a bit too strong on this approach. It was my first direct approach though, and I’m not sure it’s possible to come off not telegraphing so much interest on a direct approach. I would have definitely stayed in the set if the guy didn’t show up. This was by far the most interesting approach of the night for me.

Throughout the day, I did a few other approaches as well, but they were pretty uneventful and went pretty much the same way as the ones I’m posting.

I think the day went well for me. Very well in fact. WestCoast1492 is suggesting it, and I agree, I need to step up my game to another level. I’m not sure how to though, and would appreciate any suggestions.

I definitely come off as very confident, unfortunately because of my size, I think this also makes me rather intimidating. Smiling helps to ease things along, and also the fact that I never approach from the back, and very rarely head on, I always try to approach at an angle.

My specific question is this, how do I generate more attraction? This might seem easy to some people, or to be something that they do without realizing, for me though, it is somewhat of an issue. Confident I can do, attractive though?

Also any suggestions on innocent ways to ask for a girls number? Ones that can be turned on them if they refuse?

This is my first post, on this forum or anywhere else for that matter. (at least about the game). I hope you enjoy reading it, and I will welcome any suggestions and help.

P.S.- This post is much longer then I wanted it to be, but it barely covers the day. I think On next posts I’ll try to stick a lot more to just how the approaches go.

10000 character limit, I'm gonna need to write shorter.

"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.
