"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

Here's another one for ya. Despite everything being fab for the first 2 months with my girl, she has dropped the odd hint of a depressive nature. This I can handle, I think. I can cheer her up. Cos she has always been a lot of fun I can't really imagine her being depressed.

I just got a nice "this sucks and I hate everything" kind of text. She was very pleasant towards me, just seems like she had a real bad day. I'm wondering if I should get involved in this mentality, it strikes me sympathy is a bad idea.

What I really wanna do is nip this shyt in the bud before it gets out of hand! Anyone have any experience with this kind of thing? I don't wanna be callous and cold hearted, but I don't want her to think she can start spewing negative emotions over me all the time.

Again, maybe I'm overanalysing and she just had a bad day

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

I got caught up in this situation a few months ago with my depressive ex- and it totally messed with my head and heart.

I made the mistake of listening, sympathising and being there for her, but she ended up using this as a tactic to guilt trip and control me...even long after we'd broken up.

You don't have to be cold, but perhaps you should give her space and let her talk about it to her friends rather than to you.

Dear sir

I agree with Jariel. You are not her Dr.Phil or her Freud sidekick. Don't be sucked in trying to save her. Let her save herself.

Sure you can show her empathy and not be a total unresponsive jerk. But draw a clear and very limited line to what you are prepared to do. Don't let her get away with being moody and venting her negative emotions on you.

If you want to be clear with her. Be prehemptive. Tell her that you are with her to have fun together and not to be her psychoanalyst.

Good luck.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

Cheers guys! The funny thing is, she actually is a qualified psychologist...

I replied with "hey baby it's all good here, looks like an anticlimax from all the excitement over the last few days!" then I changed the subject. She was at a couple of gigs last few days.

Her reply was much more upbeat and she wished me sweet dreams and kisses. Phew! I care about her feelings, but there have to be boundaries if we're gonna have a healthy relationship.

If you want to be clear with her. Be prehemptive. Tell her that you are with her to have fun together and not to be her psychoanalyst.
Hmm it seems a little harsh, sounds like i just don't care. Perhaps simply changing the subject to lighter things might be the way forward?

Don't get me wrong, 99% of the time she seems like a sweet happy girl. But she's hinted that that's not always the case.

 Don't you know?

That profession has one of the highest suicide rates of any profession. I falsely believed being trained in psychotherapy would make you immune to being susceptable to mental illness.

THe complete opposite is the reality. If she's on a downer, like we all do then fine, if it's a trait there's a certain type of bloke who will be happy to look after her, depends whether you are one of them.

Very true. LOOK AT WHAT HAPPENED TO THE JEDI ORDER, BWAHAHAH!!! UNLIMITED MUTHAFUKAN POWAAAAHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *shoots lightning bolts at random people*

excuse me...

You see the Jedis kinda had a bad feeling in the corner of their hearts about Anakin. They knew he could be very powerful but they also know he could also be very dangerous. Yet they ignored that because their so called prophecy said that he would bring peace in the force. And that b!tch Padme even probably knew he was a little messed up in the head yet she stuck with him (proves once again damn jerks who are powerful can have dumb hos with them)

So how does this relate to you expendable stormtroopers? Simple. A person like your father who puts you down all the time who doesn't have much of a life will unconciously drag you down with him. He's not happy. Why should you? is his motto. This is how some girls out there are. See the truth and don't be sucked in, P*ssy is easily purchased and sold. And in Anakin's case. Clearly he did not care for his friends or the people he knew for a long time - he only cared of what HE WANTED.. .POWER and SOMEONE WHO COULD GIVE IT TO HIM and UNDERSTAND HIM IN THAT VIEWPOINT.. even if he was manipulated... bwahahahahaha.

also, don't forget.

Those who are psychology majors or psychologists are pretty fu-cked up themselves! They look so smart giving out computerized responses to elicit false empathy.. which is what some DJs and sheep followers of fastseduction do. and they use what they know to hide their true selves or to justify it using enigmatic techniques.
