I had an interesting post about reading the Holy Bible. It was only informational. It was only there for folks who were interested in finding an easier Bible to read. It wasn't even controversial.

It would be nice to at least be warned or told why your post was deleted.

So, was there a reason at all?

I think the administrators just want to avoid any conflict of interest, that might cause people delete their accounts. I don't blame them.

The post wasn't in any way trying to do any soul winning or anything like that. I'm not even a devout Christian. I have taken some interest in the Bible, but I find it hard to understand until I read "The Message". That's all it was.

No controversy.

Oh well.

(ps I just double checked and only the political reference is in there but its been a widely known rule that religion is not an acceptable topic for the exact same reason)

Reading a book doesn't constitute it's a religious thread. It's a book that's sometimes difficult to understand, and it was only to inform those who are interested in reading that book.

So, being DJ is about being PC? That's ignorant.

Yeah, but no matter how innocent it starts, something eventually gets said that gets everybody up in arms and then it turns into a big flaming holy war.

if the thread has any kind of religious name, or just has "religion" in the title...

people will come in and start bashing religion instantly, mainly christianity.

i don't see why you can't have a religious thread. people who are prone to bashing irrelevantly can just simply not click the thread. some people just want an religious person's point of view tied in with the topic of this site, not a random person coming in and trying to disprove the religion out of the blue... but adding a hint of relevancy so they don't get called out on it.

it's totally not suave to be religious i guess.
