"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

When you really think abt it, most people put themselves through so much hardships, like slogging day in and day out at their jobs just to buy happiness.

Yes buy.

They buy expensive cloths, jewellery, cars, big houses, accessories for the face, etc, just to feel good and be happy abt it so that others take notice and it puts value on ur superficiality.

If that describes you, then you're in for a lot of pain now and in the coming future.
Laboring under illusions... still in Plato's cave.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

This can get back to the desire for validation.
Validation is surely not the road to happiness.

I think a desire for a reward (that we think will bring us happiness) is a far more stronger feeling than the reward.
So imo hapiness is working towards achieving a mission.

Desire for validation... another addiction. It's the way social media works, which in turn validates the irrational mass mind. Vicious circle.

Social media becomes the mind of society [the culture] -------> mass addiction. We're heading toward a scary populist world.

Happiness is good people and good times in your life. Getting what you want out of life and living life on your own terms. It all starts with being content with who you are.

Yes, a human being is actually quite an amazing thing when you think about it. Yet how many people today can be content with just 'being', just gazing absentmindedly out the window and letting their imagination drift? Not many I think. One moment of unease, and everyone is diving into the digital underground.

In mass society, I think we've come to devalue people, where we've become habituated to ignore people due to the fact that we're pushed into such close proximity with them. I think a great part of people's unhappiness consists in their inability to share their energy with others, where we become closed up the self-protection of own own ego. Just think, you could make a person's day simply by smiling at them... no strings attached. Such a simple communication signifies we all share a common bond... and the opposite default position of coldness it a negation of that.

Another Yes.

And this is exactly why many men will be in a lot of pain.

This type of validation is a trait that's naturally associated with females since time immemorial but has now been taken up by metrosexual males.

Maybe they think it's manly.

So imo hapiness is working towards achieving a mission.
Yes.

Or the purpose that a particular man is naturally inclined to be great at.

If u r an intellectual, then focus on that purpose, be as great as Einstein or other intellectuals.

If u r an expressive, then focus on ur natural talents, be a great artist, comedian, singer, poet, psychologist, etc.

You might be famous and you might not but it doesn't matter because u r doing exactly what you were born to be doing, equilibrium is achieved and you'd be content, with it comes deep happiness.

Risk, competition, implies a level of anxiety, and anxiety undermines happiness.

To refer to Aristotle again, a magnanimous man has ENOUGH means at his disposal to live a self-determined leisurely life. Of course, this cuts against the grain of contemporary consumerist culture, where you are continually striving for the top. In this culture, there is no ideal outside the wheel that the rat runs on incessantly. No escaping the rat race because you can not say enough, and you can not say enough because you lack extra-social [metaphysical] ideals. the Matrix is a good metaphor for this.
Not necessarily. Think of business men or athletes.

It could go either way.

Some people love competition and thrive on it. Nothing wrong with that.

Others are more passionate about doing their own thing and don’t try to compete per se. They do their best and let the chips fall where they may. They don’t enjoy competition or seek it out. Nothing wrong with that either.
