it's legal, you don't have to pay tax on stuff you buy at garage sales and stuff and you don't have to pay tax on ebay

Generally unless by buying it, the trasanction is a contract that specifically prevents resale, then it's no different to selling anything else 2nd hand.
A good example of a contract not to resell is things like tickets for an event, Wimbledon, Grand Prix, where it's a condition of sale.
I feel sorry for guys who invest alot of their life in a work such as his, then it gets ripped off. Having said that, business is about adaption and is never fair.
When it comes to music, I like the way prices of CDhave plumeted (even in the UK) thanks to gnettela. There comes a price point where I don't mind paying the cash, same with DVDs.
