"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

Last week I met a girl and we had a fun time. She kept telling me how much fun she was having with me. I kept busting her balls and followed all the DJ advice and played it cool. The only mistake I know of was letting her end the conversation, after an hour or so. I should have ended it sooner once I got her number.

I never called her but I met her again yesterday and she seemed friendly again. After we talked for a couple of minutes she said she didn't really remember me or what we had talked about and that I should remind her. I said I don't do that and if she didn't remember me I was wasting my time. At this point she got really agitated and kept begging me to forgive her and we should start again but I didn't know how to deal with the situation so told her I'm not interested anymore and I said goodbye.

How could I have handled it better the second time?

Thanks for any suggestions.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

she probably said she didn't remember you because she gave you her number and you didn't call--implying that you didn't care much about her, or at least enough to call her. she probably remembered you.

sounds like a t!t for tat on her part, to save face, or implicitly "reject" you as you "rejected" her for not calling. fair enough. you should have called her.

then again, she might not give a rats ass about you. :)

Next time make a more concrete impression so that you will be memorable. Oh yeah, call the next time you get a woman's number.
