"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

Hey all I am getting known (DJ~Music) and people are treating me like they know me, but I don't know a lot of them. OK most of them. At first it wasn't so bad, 'cause it didn't happen that much. Now anytime I go into society people always talk to me, and ask when I am playing next and stuff.

It is cool I like it, but I don't think that I am handling it the way I should. Sometimes I just want to do what I am doing and get it done, but everyone wants to talk.

I believe that a DON could deal with this in a way to make the people feel apprecieated and welcome.

Any advice or criticisim....

Flame ON FLamers...again I will ignore you.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

When they approach you and ask "Hey what's up/going on/what are you up to?" make it known you are in a hurry, "Just trying to get some errands done. I'm in a hurry." Keep the convo short and break them with a look at the watch and "Oh my,I really should get going,it was nice talking to you.Take it easy" and exit.

Blinkwatt I hear you bro, but done that and it really set that person off. I have to make them feel appreciated!!! IF they feel burnt in anyway they will never come back to my show, or even worse they will tell everyone how big of a prick I am.

I can't have that at all. Plus I am not like that. I know you are not saying to blow them off, but they take it that way. The relationship is really weird. They actually feel like I am their best friend. Some have been comming to my show for over a year. SO they have been connected to me that long, and to me they are one out of a few hundred a weekend, or a few thousand annual.

BUT everyone of them counts to me. SO I was thinking if there is a way to be ****y and funny with girls. Than there should be a equation like that for fans.

Again thanks for the advice Blink
