“The 22 Rules That Flip the Script With Women… And How You Can Use Them Tonight”

Most guys accidentally kill attraction before they even speak. They assume they need a bigger bank account, a better physique, or smoother lines. They miss the point.

Female desire operates on a specific set of psychological triggers.  Break them, and you're invisible. Follow them, and you become magnetic.

I learned this the hard way. Years of freezing up. Getting friend-zoned. Watching other guys walk away with the girl I wanted. Then I discovered a set of 22 simple rules that rewired my entire approach.

I was surfing through Wikipedia and just recently discovered that a movie for both The Avengers and the Justice League are both slated to be released in 2011. Pretty exciting, I can see a huge rivalry between DC and Marvel based films as DC has Watchmen, another Superman movie, a Flash, Green Latern, and Wonder Woman movie leading up to the Justice League movie. For Marvel there's going to be an exclusive X-Men movie for Wolverine, the Punisher, Iron Man 2, Thor, Captain America, and Spiderman 4 leading up to The Avengers. For those that have been reading comic books when you were younger, the coming years should be something to look forward. Hopefully they don't suck as much as the Fantastic Four movies have though.

Wow I can't wait. I'm a DC fan myself. Haven't ever really cared for Marvel comics.

Sounds like I'll be heading to the theaters more often in the next few years

Ever since Marvel released the X-men and Spider-man movies, Marvel has been tapping the cash cow by pumping out movies for every franchise, some of which aren't very good.

Take for instance the Hulk and the Avengers. Both of these movies had previous versions a few years back but because they tanked at the box-office, Marvel remade new versions of the movies to try to tap the cash-cow again.

I sure as hell won't be going to see all of those movies that are coming out. I'll keep my money, thanks just the same Marvel.

Oh yes, the Fantastic Four movies were surprisingly enjoyable. Those movies had enjoyable characters such as Iron Man did.

Marvel is the better of the two. I'm looking forward to Spidre-Man 4, I hope Kiersten Dunst decides to play Mary Jane again.

What anybody sees in her I don't know.
I just watched Spiderman 3 there and Gwen Stacy, Ursula and the reporter at the end were all a lot hotter

Marvel comics and movies have always been intended for younger audiences including young teenagers and children.

No wonder Spider-man, X-Men, Hulk, and Fantastic Four sells because they are more or less family oriented. Ergo, story and plot doesn't have to be very complex and sinister. This is also true of their comics. Pick up any Marvel comic and its story and ending will leave you cheery and chanting for the heroes.

The exception is Iron Man. Although I can argue that the story wasn't very complex and deep. But I'm sure they will make it more morally and politically challenging when they make the next one.

On the other hand, DC comics and movies have always been intended for older and mature audiences.

No wonder Superman, Batman, Watchmen, V for Vendetta, and History of Violence DON'T sell as well because not that many people want to see it because its either a) not suited for kids (some are though..like Superman) or b) falsely judged as "another comic book movie...i ain't a nerd so im not gonna watch it". But you find out that most of these movies plot and character are dark and complicated. Granted, Superman isn't very dark, but he is still a very complicated character battling a very AFC/beta Clark Kent with a DJ/alpha Kal-El/Superman.

Again, the exception here would be Superman but his back story is very tragic.

Most DC comics/movies will leave you thinking in the end and unsure whether or not you should cheer for the heroes.

No wonder lot of families were disappointed with the violent, dark story of The Dark Knight recently. They were expecting a Spider-man-esque movie.

I agree that Marvel is milking the cash cow with their crazy influx of superhero movies...one almost every year nowadays. Just check this page if you don't believe me...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_films_based_on_Marvel_Comics#List_of_Marvel_live-action_movies

On the other hand, DC HAS NOT been milking the cash cow as much...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...cs#List_of_DC_Comics_Films_with_logo_included

Only three movies (not including Watchmen) were allowed to put on the DC logo. And all three have been very, very successful.

I guess at the end of the day, if you want to make money, you got to write up a cheesy, corny storyline, throw in some comic relief characters, add in a super terrible bad guy, and have the hero save the day (and the girl, of course) at the end.

DC wins hands down every time (both in movies and comics...we haven't even discussed animated cartoons yet).

Spiderman 3 might have been a hit at the box office, but it was not a very good movie. Spiderman is one of the few Marvel superheroes I like and was very disappointed with that movie. I liked the idea of a movie with basis on his internal struggles plus venom, but it did not deliver IMO

If I implied that only Marvel is guilty of that, then that was due to my bad writing. DC is jumping on the bandwagon as well though Marvel is getting way too carried away by making movies out of every super hero franchise under the sun. And only Marvel is guilty of making super hero movies that flop, than remaking it a few years later only to try to milk the public for more money with flops such as Hulk and Avengers.

PS. The Dark Knight deserves the hype. It's one of the best movies I've seen in years regardless if it's comic book related or not.

PSS. I agree that I was disappointed when I first saw Spiderman 3 as I felt it lacked the emotional depth of the first two movies. But after seeing it a few times on DVD I think it's not a bad movie.

PSSS. Any Spiderman movie without Tobey Maguire, I won't be seeing.

Yeah Spiderman 3 almost looked like it was directed by an amateur, nowhere near as good as the first two. My top 3 superhero comic book based movies are:

1. V for Vendetta
2. Batman: The Dark Knight
3. Spiderman 2

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

Iron Man was friggin' amazing and the Hulk was so terrible that Mavel made a new, better Hulk as sort of an "apology". They're doing the same thing with the Punisher.

And there has never been an Avengers movie, so I have no clue what you are talking about.

Iron Man was awesome, no arguments there.

If they wanted to give me apology for making such a crappy Hulk movie the first time how about refunding the money that I spent going to see it at the theater and then they could SWEAR to Marvel fans that they wouldn't churn out cookie-cutter crap just to turn a profit.

Did you say that they ARE doing the same thing with the Punisher? As in making another remake in the future?

OH COME ON! They've already made that movie TWICE now. First it had Dolph Lungrin in the role and then they made a movie with John Travolta. Now you are telling me that they are remaking the movie again? They just keep going back to the cow and try and try to squeeze milk out of it.

As to the Avengers, here:

Apparently this movie wasn't based on the Marvel comic book. I just remembered the movie coming out awhile back and assumed it was Marvel up to its same old tricks.

I've always been a bigger fan of Marvel but the animated DC series haven't been all that bad. Justice League Unlimited was very good. Someone mentioned that Marvel plots are more family oriented than the ones produced by DC. I hadn't really thought of it that way but it is true. Although I haven't seen either of the DC remakes of Superman and Batman, I thought the Batman movies starring Micheal Keaton were dark, the Joker was a psychopath, Penguin was a tragic mutant (not sure what they are called in the DC universe, though) and they met with unhappy endings. Marvel stories don't always have cheeful endings, though. I was disappointed by the deaths of Jean Grey, Scott Summers and Charles Xavier in X-Men the Last Stand. Who would have expected that considering the TV show from the early to mid 90s? And what about Otto in Spider-Man 2? That was sad, too. I didn't exactly like Doc Ock but I could see where he was coming from so he got a tough break.

Iron Man was good and I look forward to the next one. This version of the Hulk was better than the one Ang Lee directed but it still didn't live up to my expectations when compared to Iron Man. I wonder of War Machine will be in the second Iron Man, that would definitely be cool.

Kirsten Dunst is a HB 8 in my opinion, and she fits the character well. I never liked the Peter Parker/Gwen Stacey match up so I was glad to see that Peter didn't get with her in the movie. Peter's the best Marvel character because of the moral issues he faces and his iron will.

It might be that DC wants to challenge what we think of ourselves, maybe to suggest that there are no clear cut definitions of good and evil. Maybe. Marvel on the other hand seems to look at these things in clearer terms with Peter Parker but Frank Castle gives us pause as does Venom. All in all I think Marvel is looking at the potential for good and evil that lies within almost all of us but is hoping for the victory of the good. You know what I mean? And that's what will always have me rooting for Spidey, Wolverine, Cap and the other Marvel heroes I grew up watching on Saturday morning TV and after school (and still watch now). :)
