Till this day, I have no idea; perhaps she was playing a game trying to get me interested?

Now that I think about it, I don't think I've ever had a gal reject me with this line - of course, I only go for the digits when I know it's a done deal, and most of my macking has been done at singles or near-singles events, so chicks can't use that line on me. That said, I have been blown off or ghosted even when getting the digits and not having had at least 1 date.

I've had a much better success ratio at structured (or somewhat-structured) singles events than bars. I think it is because when a woman goes to a singles event, she realizes that she can't be as picky as she's been, and so she has a higher level of tolerance for short men. I have always been hopelessly HeightMogged at bars. And yes, singles events are much more sparse with decently attractive women, but that's an advantage as it keeps Chad away.

In my experience, women at singles events have been equally fussy as any other real life venue. Maybe less fussy than a swipe app.

You would be the shortest man at most bars most nights. Top tier men generally wouldn't waste their time at a singles event.
