"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

Ok, I have an interesting situation. I met this girl at a party. We talked, I busted her balls a little bit it was great. Got her #. We talk a little on the IM and stuff and the phone, and we eventually go out on a date. It was great we went to the bar, got drunk, and ended up going to funky town that night. ;) not bad for the first date, huh?

Anyway, my delimma is this: she's 21..... and I'm 19.

She gets ME into bars. She shows ME a good time.

I can't take her to clubs, cause there aren't any in this town (at least none that aren't gangster clubs.)

Also, she lives in an apartment, and I live in a freshman dorm.

I mean, we have fun when we go out, but I kinda feel like the ***** of the relationship, the guy who's following her around like a puppy. I try to compensate with being extra ****y/funny and busting her balls, and it seems to work. Also, I try to be really busy (I have another over-21 girl that I date now and again as well, so any advice would help me with both of them).

however, I really feel self conscious when asking her out, cause it's always "well, what do YOU wanna do?" Ya know. I can't be the man, cause the MAN won't let me.

I'm afraid that eventually her attraction will dissipate. any advice on how to handle this?

and no, a fake id is not an option. I'm on the football team, and if I AM caught and arrested, it will be HELL to pay for me.

"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

Well that has to stop!!

Really, there has got to be things to do other than bars. You should be suggesting the ideas for the 1st month or two. Restaurants/coffe houses/art galleries? House parties?

Don't ask her what she wants to do. Maybe this girl doesn't care, but I've known females who get kind of annoyed when YOU call HER, and you have no idea what to suggest.
