Is there any "key" to dating in one's early 30s?
Attraction runs on a clock.
She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.
The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."
One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.
Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.
That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?
She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."
She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.
I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.
Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.
Amen!Die Hard said:The key to dating in your early thirties, is to FORGET that you're in your early thirties. YOU are YOU and YOU do whatever the fvck YOU wanna do, not what society dictates you to do according to your age group or some other bullsh!t like that.
I recently became 31 years old but I feel no different than when I was like, 24...so I don't ACT any different than I did back then either. I was at a bar two days ago and some chick started hitting on me, she was 33 years old... Later on, some other chick started hitting on me and that one turned out to be 16.
My point is: I was being ME all night long, whether with the 33 year old or the 16 year old and they both felt attracted to me just the same. What the fvck do I care how old I am? I AM not my age, I AM me... I do not ACT like my age, I ACT like myself. And that's exactly what bytches (whether they're 15 or 50) like, that you're confident in who you are, that you are your OWN man, instead of a fukking sheep who walks in line and says "beeeeh" like he's supposed to.
So stop wondering how you SHOULD act and start acting however the fukk you WANT to act. Don't ask yourself what others expect from you, but ask yourself what you expect from them. You are the PRIZE and all bytches of all ages need to prove their worth to you. What is the key to dating in your early thirties? FUKKING IRRELEVANT!! You shouldn't even think about stuff like that. ALL bytches from ALL ages should be worrying about what is the key to dating YOU. You lead, they follow...whether it's a teenage girl, a mature woman or society in general.
What is it that you want out of dating in your 30s?ilikecharlene said:Is there any "key" to dating in one's early 30s?
Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."
You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.
She's been waiting forty minutes.
Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.
just something long term. i'm looking for somebody older, closer to 40.vatoloco said:What is it that you want out of dating in your 30s?
I agree, but I don't really want children ever. Since women these days are more comfortable in saying they don't like/want kids, i guess this is win for me lol..Desdinova said:A key to dating women in their early 30s is: watch out for the ticking biological clock.
Other than that, age is just a number.

So true. I stopped dating 30-somethings a while back.Nutz said:I'm done dating women in their 30s. They're no better than women in their late teens and 20s, but have loads of baggage, tend to be jaded/cynical, and don't look as hot. As for maturity and trust and honor and loyalty and all that jazz, older women are no different from the younger ones. The biggest difference is that older women are more forgiving of beta males and aren't as selective so they're easier to pull, aka low-hanging fruit. My advice is try not to get taken in by their being easier to bang.
In that case, concentrate your efforts on the hot/kept 40+ ladies out there. They WILL have baggage but if you can land yourself a 7+ with minimal baggage, no kids and who has kept herself in shape, you're good.ilikecharlene said:I agree, but I don't really want children ever. A lot of those 40+ women who got it going on like that tend to be cougars. just an observation on my part.vatoloco said:In that case, concentrate your efforts on the hot/kept 40+ ladies out there. In this case, I WOULD recommend online dating. I just looked at my online market and there are tons of 40+ good-looking women in decent shape.
Now, whether they have issues, that's another story!![]()
That's why you'd spin lots of them to separate the wheat from the chaff!Blackmm said:A lot of those 40+ women who got it going on like that tend to be cougars. just an observation on my part.
You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.
For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.
Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.
The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.
I know a guy that's doing sugar daddy sites and is cleaning house. He reframes it from being a sugar daddy and them a prostitute to just being attracted to younger women and looking for women who are interested in older men as to why he uses those sites because they cater to what he likes. It helps he's loaded. He'll either pay for their gas to drive to his place, or he flies women into town for the weekend. They typically go out Friday night, head back to his place where she's staying, then he bangs them out all weekend and sends them back to wherever they came from. He's also had a few of them shoot porn for him which I guess he later sells to internet sites. Dude is a freaking evil genius! :rockon:Dust 2 Dust said:The biggest key is to be in shape. Most guys are out of shape with beer bellies once they hit their mid 30's. You'll have an instant advantage over your competition by hitting the gym and eating a proper diet. An in shape, childless, unmarried male with no baggage is going to be a hot commodity with the 30+ ladies.
I also recommend online dating. I'm not talking about trashy sites like POF, but sites that cater to older crowds like eHarmony or match.
