The general rule for newbs is that you never ask. There's not always a clear cut line, sometimes it just evolves into a relationship. If she likes you enough she will stay with you and ask you to be exclusive. Some women just assume that you are exclusive and in a relationship after a certain amount of time being together. Usually you'd have to be "dating" regularly for at least 1-3 months. Either way you're thinking about it too much, you will know when it happens and then you can decide if you want to take things to the next level or not. Just play the game and be patient, control your insecurities and uncertainties.

Never EVER bring up GF in front of her.

the general rule is wait for her to ask you where you think this is headed. usually girls will ask you after a few weeks or months of dating. it generally means, are we a couple yet or are we friends and where's this headed.

Heh, you can't be afraid of the LJBF trap. If it happens, it's already in her mind and you can't change that. All I did was go in for the first kiss, looked her in the eyes, said goodnight and left. She second I got home she called and we talked about stuff and I didn't mention anything about what just happened, and she brought up. "So where do we go from here?"

All you need to do is show interest. If she's interested in you, she'll try to opt for a relationship. If she doesn't, she's not that interested and it's not worth it.
