yeah, we all read these things before, but in real life, for some reason, you forget all these pua lessons, and your instincts/feelings take over.

Exactly. In my pre-sosuave days, I was dating a girl towards the end of last year who did this a few times in a bar we'd go to. She got a text, and then for literally the next 5 minutes she'd disappear into her phone.

It bothered me so much, got my blood pressure to rise instantly, but I was too much of a pvssy to say anything to her in fear that I would make her angry or upset her. Ugh, still makes me cringe to think of how I didn't act.

I was obviously more beta than I care to admit. Glad I found this site. If that happens now though, I'd instantly get the waitress and say "check please" and tell her I'm leaving.

Definitely not, huge difference between checking her phone and focusing all her entire attention to it for an extended period of time just because another notification beeped.
