I know because I was one of them. The overthinking. The paralysis. The silent drive home kicking yourself for freezing up. Watching average guys walk away with the girl while you stood there stuck in your own head.

Hey guys so whenever I go to the club/bar and I try to get girls on the dance floor I always get rejected and its awkward. I just try to make eye contact and smile and go dance with them and try to esclate on the dance floor but it always feels awkward/forced.

Is it I just can't dance (I suck :( ) or do I just need to keep working on it

Be in some sort of partnered dancing, such as:

Country
Swing out
Salsa
Merengue

It's part of the culture to change partners and it won't be as awkward. Just take some classes to get some basic skills.

Trying to get girls already ON the dance floor is difficult unless you are a very good looking guy. It's generally best to meet them off of the dance floor. Chat with her by the bar area of the club. If the conversation goes well, put your hand out and say "Let's go dance." Then lead her to the dance floor.

Dance is highly learnable. Partner dance lessons like already mentioned are very good. Some people may try to tell you that partner dancing won't help you in the club and is only good for formal dancing. Wrong. You can mix the stuff you learn into your club freestyle. Plus you can learn rhythm, posture, timing, and being comfortable holding chicks and turning them. I was at a singles party tonight (ie club for old people lol), and I used merengue stuff on a lady that didn't know how to dance. Then used hustle on a lady who knew hustle.
