"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

When sailing a ship what happens when you drop the anchor?

You stay stagnant like a pond, growing an infestation of bacteria,

Yet cut the anchor and you are the river which steadily flows clean and clear never stopping to obstructions, never confined, uncovering ways above and around always steadily moving.

You must find out what in life holds you down, What are your anchors? Are they negative friends? Is it a job you hate?

Drop these things immediately and find peace.

Do not find troubles in what others think of you, Do not go searching of stresses in matters that do not concern you and think deeply make sure you are not creating chaos in your own life.

Instead meditate on the only thing you truly have control over. It is NOT your health, the world nor the thoughts of others.

The one thing you truly have control over is your mind!

So cut the stresses and anchors out of your life and be Happy!

As Marcus Aurelius said, “Focus on things you can change. Your own will and perception detaching from things out of your control health, death actions of others.

Yes Marcus Aurelius has some pretty incredible stuff and yet he stayed so humble.

Although I think that this is one of the situations where the saying, "Each to his own applies," but just in case, do you think there are steps that we could take to figure out the anchors in life that unnecessarily burdens us?

Excellent question! I think this could be an entirely other discussion but to sum it up I think anything that holds you back from your happiness or achieving your goals should be cut immediately. It is so much harder to walk with a ball and chain than if you cut the chain and are free to run.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.
