Curious question about the female eye dilation IOI

Let me preface i'm not trying to psycho analyze any situation. this is just a matter of curiosity. because honestly the more subtle IOI's intrigue me.

Now psychologist have proven that when a female or really anybody is attracted to someone their eyes dilate

but this girl who i've recently met who i have a pretty good gauge of her attraction in me sent me a good morning video message.

she was in a well lit room with the sun beaming in but her eyes were almost fully dilated. She's not a drug user so my deduction was that her body language was projecting in the video she was sending me and thus her eyes were dilated.

My point is eye dilation a general sign regardless of situation or can it ONLY be used in a social setting face to face.

I suggest not reading into IOIs. I know you're going to anyway, but please try not to. Especially the pupil one -- we aren't interacting in a controlled lab environment. There are too many factors at play that affect eye dilation.

That being said, my guess would be there has to be another person present or something representative of that person. Perhaps the thought of a person alone may do it. Try poking around for psych paper abstracts, people research this stuff all the time.

But again: reductively focusing on IOIs is not useful.

anyway i've done a little research. the only research i could find though is where they placed people in a lit room and showed them pictures of other people. people who's eyes dilated were asked what they thought about the subject shown.

always they said attractive.

With that being said I suppose if you have a mental image of someone in your mind. that would also dilate your eyes. considering you are visualizing what they look like.

I was just curious though to see if anybody out there had some perspective.

You know what else causes eye dilation? Low light.

The biggest IOI is if you ask her out and she says yes. Do that and you won't have to waste time studying these strange, micro-indicators.

Three different ones is a solid number. However it doesn't happen in a vacuum and there are other factors that work against you, despite body language cues. Inhibitions are one of them.

I agree with above though. Unless you are genuinely interested in behavioral psychology, don't bother with reading such minor IOIs. It's healthier for a man to simply assume the sale.

Instead of asking for the number/date, which is the best available measure of interest, you are seeking female validation based on mini-IOIs that may not be genuine.

The question then becomes: are you in the game for the vag!na or for the female validation?

Moreover, by waiting for such micro-IOIs before making a move, you are also missing out on the girls who would have been attracted to you if you went for you what want upfront.

You can't judge pupil dilation from a VIDEO under the conditions you described. There are too many factors at play.

I am very interested in micro expressions and am good at spotting the "sparkle" in a girls eyes if she is interested. However, I could not explain what that "sparkle" looks like because it's not exactly as simple as a pupil dilating. It's something a person has to learn to FEEL more than see, which may not make a lot of sense, but will once you start paying more attention.

Looking for IOIs through micro expressions is a good way to boost your confidence enough to talk to a girl, but it isn't a guarantee you will get her and can limit your options. Like Nismo said, you know a girl is interested in ****ing you when you are having sex with her...

I've had several very quick lays by approaching girls giving strong IOIs in her eyes. To my friends it didn't seem logical, or even possible, but it is possible to read a connection with a girl right away. I don't think everybody can do it, but for an introvert like me it has been great. I'll probably post some theory and field reports some day because it is the easiest way to get laid, in my experience and opinion. It's a natural filter and despite all the negatives people will throw out about it, there are a lot of positives as well.

Looking at girl's pupils to see if she's interested is NOT worth anything. Learning to feel and read natural chemistry communicated through body language and micro expressions is worth a lot. But i'm not sure everyone can "learn" it.

BTW "micro expressions" are relevant in dealing with everyone, not just girls you want to ****. It isn't just some PUA theory.

I think the eye dilation IOI is completely mythical. Light levels will always supersede.

Like another poster mentioned above, you can see interest in a woman's eyes that has nothing to do with pupil dilation. I would describe it as a widening of the eyes, sort of an expression of slight surprise (it only looks like that... it's not actual surprise).

When you see a woman widen her eyes and linger gaze directly at you, it's game on. I place absolutely zero value on pupil dilation.
