Critique my plentyoffish profile

I signed up for plentyoffish, because it was free and I figured a little investment there might allow me to meet more women (I am in a STR right now). Also, if anyone knows, is it best to mark your desire as "dating", "hang out", or "friends" if you want to meet the girls for dating and sex?

Bio:
Some people peak early in life. Others peak later. For a special few, there is no peak, and life keeps getting better and better as time goes by! I firmly believe I'm one of the latter; are you? Interesting conversationalist? Take care of yourself mentally and physically? Enjoy spending a quiet night at home as well as having fun on the go from 8am until the wee hours of the next morning? Read on.

I can sometimes be found hiking dusty trails through the deep woods with my trusty backpack, and other times curled up on my comfy couch with a good movie or a thick tome of Russian literature. I can be found partying with friends until 3am, learning a new ethnic dish, or trying to navigate a foreign city with a "Rough Guide", a couple bus tokens, and a wide-eyed desire to see and experience it all.

In short, I pursue a lot of interests and I have a lot of stories. Share some of yours, and you might get to hear a choice few of mine!


Please critique the content and tone. I wanted to come across as playful and busy, whilst qualifying her at the same time. This is in stark contrast to these more typical bios:

I can sum up my entire demeanor in 3 words: cool, calm, and collective. Im very open-minded and have a good time in any and everything i do...from music and movies to just sitting down and having everyday conversation. i dont like shallow or judmental people, for pretty much the same reason nobody would. My aspirations are to become a forensic toxicologist (1 year of school to go!) and pretty much just try and enjoy life. I would like to meet a nice, sweet woman...bottom line. im not picky, but definitely have to be attracted to her, plus, i like to travel. so i hope that she does too!

i love music and the outdoors i wish the world turned a littel slower i am looking for a good woman to spend my time with i have a good job two dogs and i would just perfer not to spend my days in the city i love art long drives and anything new and fun

just looking for a good girl to hang out with, have fun with, some one that enjoys the outdoors as much as i do. some one who likes to have fun and cuddle at the end of the day. there is other things as well but your welcome to ask as pleased.

Only things I could see changing
is maybe shorten the whole thing ,
add alittle more humor for sure...

And make sure you post several good pictures
with at least one with friends/family in it.

Anyway, I put this up last night and this morning I already have one reply. She looks like a plentyoffish ***** (the kind out for social networking with as many as possible, ya know what i mean?) but...still.


What kind of humor would you use? C&F is hard to do when it's in something liek a profile that is generic toward everybody.

Take "I firmly believe" out of this. It is unnecessary. But that is just a peeve of mine.

The rest is good though, for an online dating bio.

nothing wrong with plentyoffish,
maybe your area is full of paranoid bimbos,
or they are getting way too much mail and
have losts of options...

Just a bad day fishing ( or year of fishing )
if nothing after a month or two change/modify your ad.
And remember to get out and approach in real life,
don't rely on internet dating too much!
