Creatine ...Is it healthy ???

I am 6'5 140 pounds very skinny and am looking to gain some weight. I have been doing pushups and lifting 25 pound dumbells but that doesnt seem to help much. If i look at my body in mirror it is mascular but at the same time its very skinny. Dont know if that makes any sense .

Anyway what i want to do over summer is to gain some weight... my goal is 200 pounds. Right now i am not drinking any protein shakes or Creatine but i am very close to buying some. My only question is weather creatine is healthy or not. I want to buy some CellTech creatine which is suppose to be the best.

Weird thing is i eat alot of fast food and pizza more than my friend whose like 220 pounds. I can eat papa Johns medium pizza by my self and my friends are amazed at how i stay so skinny. I will also be joining a GYM with one of my friends and we will be lifting together so i need to know if creatine is healthy or not.

Also what kind of foods should i be eating, burgers and pizzas dont seem to be doing the trick. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

don't buy the creatine at this point you'll just be wasting your money. Your skinny because you don't eat enough food and your not getting stronger, push ups aren't going to cut it. Go to the vault, click where to start, then simple starting diet, read through them, then make a journal.

Push ups are annoying to do with extra weights(which is necessary for them to be effective) and without the weights the dozens of reps done make the blood pressure jolt up, which feels pretty nasty and its pretty awkward to breath because all the body muscles are tense too.

Get onto rippetoes program, Prodigy. It works, youll be surprised how fast your big lifts will gain power and how your whole body becomes used to moving weights and loses its fragility.

creatine isn't a magic powder. You are skinny because you don't know how to train and you probably have a very poor diet. Go read some articles or on the forum of Bodybuilding.com for some basics

I don't see the problem with adding weight to push ups. There are a lot of variations you can do, too... dive bomb, one arm, handstand, plyometric, finger tip, knuckle, etc.

I just never really liked the bench.

That said, Rippetoe's/Stronglifts is a good choice too. Start with the bar regardless of how strong you are.

Certainly the most important point in your diet is to eat six meals a day and get your recommended protein and calorie intake, but yes if used alongside it should help you get to where you want to be! Supplements undoubtedly help if used properly with a good diet and routine
