Crazy Tales From The Police Beat

Working last night. Got dispatched to a public park for one boy beating up another on the playground. One boy 7, one 8. Mother of 7yo was the complainant. Both boys had been playing on the playground with sticks in hand. The 7yo had scratches on his face and welts on his back. No marks on 8yo. A third party witness advised that the 7yo was yelling profanities including F bombs at the 8yo, started chasing the 8yo. So the 8yo turned around and tackled the 7yo, took the 7yos shoes off his feet, and beat threw the shoes at him.

This is where it gets crazy. When I told the mother of the 7yo, age 33, that while the 8yo is more at fault for the physical contact and marks on her son, her son the 7yo was not innocent either. At that point she started crying, screaming, throwing a fit. How dare I accuse her son of that. How can I be a police officer if I an going to make those kind of accusations. What is my Chief's name, what is my badge number. Screamed like a little girl. Told me I ruined the birthday party they were having.

These women are not even human beings anymore, especially the ones in their 30s. I think the crazyness builds up in women, and peeks in their 30s. I have said this before, I think women in their 20s, 40s, 50s, while crazy, are not peek crazy like 30s.

Shoot its not like I was taking her little baby to jail, and I even said the other kid was more at fault, and just that her baby wasn't little Mr. Perfect. My God. These creatures called mothers/women are from another planet I swear!!

Just wanted share this 1,000,001th story of crazy women we all deal with in life.

I see this as part of the new approach to parenting. Kids can do no wrong, they have to be told they're perfect, they aren't allowed to compete because they aren't allowed to lose, the most important thing is to raise their self esteem, so they think they are the greatest thing since sliced bread. You dared suggest the kid wasn't perfect, and that isn't allowed. Everyone is a 10!

Never appreciated you were a Gendarme.....as they say"Ä Policemans lot,is not a happy one"LOL...But it is universal...about 25 miles from my Home town there is a derelict mining town...When the minerals ran out the Men left,leaving the Single Mothers on welfare...Well they have a Kids Rugby Football team...young Adolescents...When they come to town,they bring their Mums,and these Girls mean business...They are equipped with foul mouths and heavy umbrellas...They assault the opposing spectators,the referee and players after disputed decisions...So rough are these Women,that where they play,an Ambulance and Paddy Wagon with four Police will be in attendance!

Damn, man, I don't know how you can deal with that sh!t! Mad props to you. Fvcking delusional mothers. I have a few friends that are teachers, and even when their kid is dumb as fvck, fails, and called in, the mothers create havoc! Soooo, the teachers pass them and they enter our society as 18 yr old full fledged brats. Sh!t's fvcked.

Just an update to this. I had some followup contact with the lady and used my personal cell phone. She texted me and apologized for screaming at me. I told her her apology was accepted. I hated to kiss her azz like that but that should hopefully defuse her filing any kind of formal complaint on me for telling her her little baby was not innocent. I already talked with my Chief about it and he thinks she is nutzo too, so everything should be ok.

I'm going to tell you guys my honest truth on something though. Right now I am only working as a part-time patrol officer 2-3 days a week, and my full time job is still in I.T. for right now. I deal with a lot more crazy people in I.T. When technology breaks people literally can't wipe their own azz anymore, it's really disgusting. The whole I.T. culture is grounded in sociopaths. I'm trying to get back into law enforcement full time even though I will probably take a huge pay cut, even if I get back into doing Cyber work full-time like I did before. I.T. sucks folks, it really does... But that's a whole new topic.

Why did they call the cops in the first place? What are you supposed to do, arrest an 8-year-old for assault? And what was the idiot mother doing that she couldn't break up a fight between two little kids?

One of my instructors in Basic Law Enforcement Training wasn't joking when he said: "You'll never find another job like policing."

That variety, unpredictability and excitement aren't necessarily here in the military..but just like in law enforcement, I'm not allowing myself to go complacent. Complacency killed the cat ya know?!

Why did they call the cops in the first place? What are you supposed to do, arrest an 8-year-old for assault? And what was the idiot mother doing that she couldn't break up a fight between two little kids?

Believe it or not, in Illinois 8yos can technically be arrested with criminal offenses. However, to actually haul one off to "jail" aka "juvie" in their case is an very extreme. We can do other things with juveniles like city ordinance violations where the kid or his/her parents parents pay a fine. And/or, we can do something called a "station adjustment" where the kid does some community service like come and pick up trash on a Saturday or something. I started all of the paperwork for the station adjustment but it isn't solely my decision on what happens from here. It's 10x more paperwork with juveniles than it is adults.

So why did they call in the first place? I think the mom of the 7yo is looking to sue the parents of the 8yo, that's just the gut feeling I get at this point..
