I'm personally all stocked up with healthy food, some alcohol, an entire bookshelf of unread books, work material to catch up on, and investments to check out. Here's a list of personal action items I'm taking while I'm self-quarantining, because I'm not taking a risk (also I work for an organization that has deemed me a "high value asset" and I'd catch significant repercussions if I caught it due to negligence, ESPECIALLY if I spread it to other coworkers in similar situations).

I thought Ebola was bullsh*t. I thought Swine Flu was garbage. This particular strain of virus is more insidious; being out in public is a poor choice. I hear dumb f*cks say "only 2%-3% of people who get it die".

How would you feel about getting on an airplane that crashes "only" 2%-3% of the time?

I use a timer to shift between activities. Each activity is 50 minutes long, and once the timer is up I take a break for 10 minutes, in which I start the process over again with a different task.

Here's my list:

1. Quit pornography
2. Read my backlog of books
3. Study work stuff
4. Practice guitar
5. Work out
6. Tidy up house
7. List unused items on eBay/craigslist
8. Do little fixes around the house
9. Tune/fix/organize the car
10. Study investments
11. Research best place to allocate income
12. Fine-tune online dating (but refuse to meet anyone, at least initially)

OK, I have never used the services of a hooker or used cocaine and I am also still married for the time being. Having said that if there ever was a time that called for some cocaine and hookers it would be now.

There is always a chance of death when I leave my house. Not much has changed. I wash my hands as always. I'm just glad people respect my personal space now.

Sounds like a lot of you are making b*tch ass excuses and rationalizations.

I might just pay for the RSD Derek brotherhood so I can access their forums to avoid the fagg*ts on here that can't make the most out of this golden opportunity.

Look, I'm gonna be completely honest here.

The Corona virus is like Chickenpox.
You're not immune to it, and you will get it eventually in time.
This particular virus is resistant to the flu vaccine.

Once you get it, it'll pass and it will never infect you again just like Chickenpox.
I spent some time around friends that tested positive recently, but it was never passed onto me. I thought that was odd.
But everyone will get it! There's no denying this.
I caught it back in December, which surprised me because I haven't had the flu for decades.
You become sick almost instantly, instead of several days of buildup.

This thread is more about how to maximize time spent in quarantine rather than a discussion on virology; I have no choice other than to stay at home at this time.

I have busted out all my old DJ gear and gotten back into mixing.

Technics 1200s turntables, Mixing board, huge speaker, 12” vinyl dance records from the 1990s era. I can still beat mix, slam, fade & scratch...

It’s all analog and I’m kind of a dinosaur but the old school EDM is pretty hip and my teenagers think it’s pretty cool in a nerdy mom’s DJing upstairs kinda way.

I forgot how much fun it is!

Woah! You were a DJ?
What was your DJ name?
Did you go to any raves or clubs in NYC in the 90's?
Does Twilo or Sound Factory ring a bell?

I was. Not anywhere ridiculous like NYC or Miami but in a smaller market. It was such a blast.

I loved Limelight in NYC. That old cathedral was the height of decadence & debauchery. I had a gorgeous gay friend from high school who modeled and went to Parsons. He took me to a gay bar that was just wild. I’d never seen anything like it. It was enormous and I cannot recall the name...but I remember climbing a wide curved blue velvet staircase that seemed to go on forever until it opened into this huge club with a dance floor the biggest I’ve ever seen and guys who looked like something straight out of Madonna’s SEX book lounging in VIP. Then of course was the original Sushi Samba when it was hip & fresh and from there you’d head south to clubs where the name was not posted but the line to get in stretched for blocks. Lotus? Perhaps that was one? Steak frites at Raoul’s or warm up at Balthazar’s or Oberon. I spent New Year’s night 2000 (after doing New Year’s Eve for the Millennium in Budapest) at the W Midtown, which was brand new. Epic those nights in New York.

I was too young for Studio 54. Oh well.

Since I have covid-19, my qurantine routine includes

Morning yoga

That chi + qi gong

circulation exercises

2 hour mediation/drink tea (green, chamoumille, lavender, oohlong. Usually 5-6 cups a day)

Fruit cleanse/ salad/light meat like fish for meals.

Daily vitamins: fish oil, elderberry, suntheanine l-theanine, astaxantin, garlic, tumeric, zinc, vitmamin d, baby aspirin, magnesium, garlic, humidfier, hawthorne berry extract, EGCG, l-citruline, l-argenine, super b vitamin complex coenzynme q10, resevertral. I spent 200-300 on vitamins a month but it's worth it.

3 hour daily spiritual satsang with my spitritual gurus Adyashanti, Mojji, or Ajahn Brahm.

1 hour work out/ muay thai

1 hour business

Honestly I feel even healthier now that I am covid positive than before. I am treating my body like a temple, and spend most of my time in spirituality. At day 15 of recovery I find myself being able to do hiit cardio and strenuous excercise now.

Qi gong is great because you can feel your every breath.

I'm going to keep up with self-care regimen even after I have covid. I don't think I will ever go back to my old lifestyle of drinking and overindulgence.

BTW I am not taking anything for covid. Not hydroxycloriquine or redemsivir although I was offered a clinical trial. I'm going to save it as a last resort in case things go down hill.
I see you're still full of sh1t.

Good writer, though.

This is the first time in my life I wish I was full of sh1t.
Here is my medical report. Obviously I cropped out my name. People who knows me know I live in philly. My date of birth is on the damn paper (sososuave can confirm my DOB)and I admitted myself into the ER on June 5/2020 and got a positive covid-19 and pneumonia diagnosis. Even my phone number is there (for anyone who wants to text me).

This is something I would never lie about. If I stop posting, you guys will know if I made it or not.

Even when I'm about to die I get trolled by Tyte Eyez. I guess some things never change, lol.

Hey, don't let anyone do a frame grab. We all neg each other.
Maybe take down your personal info, this is the internet, just think about maybe taking it down.
Might not be thinking clearly if you're on med for this virus.
Just thinking of you for when you're recovered and you will recover my fellow respected sosuave member.

I just want to show people there is nothing to be afraid of. Not even death. The moment is all you have. If you can truly be happy in this moment right here and now, you have groked existence. Being covid positive has forced me to let go of all past and future.

To me, there is no "recover" in the future. I'm okay now. I feel like my life is full now and it's all I could ever ask for.

A funny thing happens when you face mortality. All time stops. And you realize it is only the Eternal moment. Everything else is mind and thought. There is only present awareness right here right now. It is the only thing that is real.

The "I" that perceives. It existed long before you were given a birth name, And it will continue to exist even until the end of time. It always is and always will be. The universe arises and die and The "I" will still be here.

You are not your body. You are not your name. You are not your sex. You are not the image the world gave you. You are the ever mysterious presence awareness.

This presence awareness visits you at your final moments when you lose everything. When you are about to die, you realize the presence awareness was the only thing that was ever real.
Thank you for saying I am not my sex.
You seem to understand.

Are you still in the hospital?

As a last resort, I have the option to sign up for clinical trial of hydroxychloriquine, So I have that up my sleeve if things get bad.
that's the malaria drug I think.
If there's a chance you'd get the lifethreatening fever again that could be wise. Even just to store it in the fridge or somewhere as backup. Relabel it to something more banal and less precious to avert would-be thieves if shtf.

Sounds like you made it past the worst of it and sounds like you're 10-15% better than the hospital-admitted cases so keep up the good work taking good care of yourself.
Good leadership example. Keep vibrating as close as possible to your regular frequency expanding out as you feel you have the strength to.

Ah, the "political drug". Or politicized, perhaps I should say.
I remember reading that you had the coronavirus, but I didn't know you had pneumonia. Sounds like you are doing well though, so get well soon!

I've been thinking about yoga since the pandemic started. About how they use awareness of the breath to promote a feeling of peace and well being. I was wondering how that worked in bad cases when they couldn't catch their breath.

Some of your comments reminded me of the anthropic principle, where the universe has to observe itself and we are agents of that. Regardless, all of us are only here temporarily.

Hydroxychloriquine was shown to work against the original sars-cov virus responsible for the 2003 outbreak.

It has also been shown to work for sars cov-2, aka the 2019 pandemic. The WHO originally wanted to call it Sars-2 but didnt want to scare the fvck out of people, so they called it covid-19, short for sars-coronavirus 2.

The drug got politically murdered by the "left" and mainstream media and even publications like the Lancet. Just recently the Lancet retracted their studies saying it was "dangerous" under scrutiny from medical doctors citing that their sources are falsified and unreliable.

Some of the "sources" the Lancet used to try to politically murder hydroxy weren't even real people of authority.
This is the biggest scandal thus far. A medical journal with a political agenda losing all credibility.

Just this week the CDC has restarted their clinical trials of hydroxy. Along with every other organization that stopped because of what the LANCET said about how it was dangerous with no proof.
I thought JAMA journal was the accepted authority in peer reviewed medical journals?
