"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

Continuing with 'Operation Outreach' (wherein I intend to foster international relations with the females of many-a-nationality), I got one of my 'elite' on the phone last night. It went well. However, There were five points which I need help with - for my own sanity.

1)
One of the first things she said was "did you miss me?" to which I responded with a "so how was your weekend" she laughed. But is deflection the right way to go or should I have met it head on and used the "For a while, but then I got bored and hired 10 strippers" line?

2)She was talking about the weekend and how she spoke to a guy who is (I gather) interested. I responded by saying 'It's so sweet you're trying to make me jealous, but it isn't working.' I believe I'm calling her on her ****, but it led to a rather childish "am not" - "Oh, I think you are" tete a tete before I swiftly changed the subject - was this the correct course of action?

3)
She's an LSE girl (without cause IMO). During the conversation I was talking about how she makes herself look 'damn fine' for me (the actual words came out by accident). She grabbed at that like a two year old reaching for a dummy. She didn't seem to take it very well, it was almost as if she felt she was misleading me. Is this indicitive of a lack of rapport?

4) She's constantly repeating that we are not going to have sex (while in the same conversation saying all kinds of horny ****) I'm presuming this is just an ASD, correct? She goes on about sex more than I do.

5) She said at one point "Don't flatter yourself" - am I going overboard on the ****y stuff? (I really don't use it that often)

Cheers guys.

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

Perhaps, but I'm attempting to prevent as many f.u.c.k ups as I can.

Not enough in my opinion... Lifter, you're on some good points there. I'm flagging this as a thread to steal points of discussion from. Could take me months to get to these ideas though, so if you want quick answers, you've got to ask them differently.

Pose your questions in a quick format, one topic to each idea. You don't want PUA's responding with one idea to seperate ideas, it doesn't make any sense.

1. Deflection: Depends on the situation. The situation is not word for word. The situation is her worries versus the truth. For your situation, the strippers line would have been better.

2. Friend Zone versus Fbuddy zone: You can get sucked in, if you respond, or placed if you do not. For your situation, just telling her your jealous would have sufficed after she said "am not"

3. Word it differently. Your worrying about rapport, but you verge into misleading strategems. There are seperate wavelengths girls play on, I don't know where your 'elite' girl is from, so I don't know what her customs on looking 'damn fine' are;)

4. LOL, ASD, sorry, I don't know what that is... Let her talk, respond in kind, just pretend you know your going to have sex, but just throw in that you KNOW your not going to have sex... light or heavy, sexual tones are fun anyways:D

5. "Don't flatter yourself" that is her C/F return comment. Sometimes you come off as being too arrogant sometimes though, fine balance, and it depends on the girl. This does reveal you are working too hard on her though. You are being a try hard, you are putting her up there as something you are chasing. It was her way of saying "shoo dog", you were getting too excited.

Your sanity is still there, but your choice of words, and the way you ask for a critique is all wrong. Try not to work on the inside, your not gathering any information by dissecting her responses. Sometimes you have to create a response, don't blindly throw some bait to her, and than come back and ask people what it means when she did some freaky weird voodoo dance ritual before she took the bait.

I should tell her I'm jealous, you're kidding me? I'm really not to be honest the guy she's talking about is absolutely no competition whatsoever - she's just mentioning it to see if I get upset....and she does it a lot. It's like one test after another with her. If it weren't for the nationality thing I'd have 'dropped it like it's hot' a long time ago.
