This one is really for mature guys only as I would like the advice, but it takes a bit of back story.
I think that single parenting has a lot to do with today’s culture and how kids are raised.
leave here ZTIMES upbringing as an example. I’m 50 born in 1971.
back then things were way different, but here’s what I know. My mother was bipolar and a drug addict. She had myself (the youngest) and 2 older sisters. My 2 sisters have the same father.
My mother was on a drug binge one evening when I was 3. She accidentally burnt my face (no huge scars), and I cried uncontrollably. She proceeded to pick me up and throw me through a window leaving a shard of glass through my chin to the roof of my mouth.
of course the medics came and after the story was told she went to a mental facility. Now we have 3 kids (ZTIME and 2 older sisters).
We were sent to an adoptive agency and rescued by our grandmother who at the time was 63. She busted her ass to raise us but sometimes fell short financially.
My Grandmothers upbringing where women would fight for their men and respect meant everything was different than what we see today or even in my Mother’s Day.
my upbringing came from my Grandmother who forcefully tried to teach me respect for women, and to not have a red pill mentality.
do any of the mature people here feel there upbringing hinders there thought of women and find it harder to swallow the red pill?
I will say, professionally I’ve killed it in my life making my Grandmother proud. Now I’m left with financial freedom but I did it for her approval. Catch 22!!
Sadly my mother and grandmother have passed. Inherently I became successful, but maybe to AFC.
