Last Saturday I started getting calls around midnight from 3 numbers I didn't recognize, no messages. After about five of these calls, I decided to see who it is when I got home at 1:30. It's "Sara" from work, she had looked my friend up in the phone book and also called him five times within 20 minutes to get my cell number.

She's over at her friend's apt, it seems pretty obvious to me what she wants. We small talk for a minute and I said, "So why'd you call? You want me to come over there?" She says yes, so I grab some Smirnoff and head over a few minutes later.

Me, Sara, and the friend are watching TV and drinking a little, the friend hints that she's going to bed soon. Good so far. Then the friend gets a call from some old ex she hasn't seen in forever. She tells him to stop by and see her. No problem, I figure she wants some too.

The ex arrives - by this time it's about 2:30. Problem is he's a drunk redneck and he has two drunk redneck friends with him. They carry a portable cooler in, if that tells you anything. We had some laughs and I can make conversation with damn near anybody, but these guys are in the way of me getting some and I wasn't trying to make friends.

So these guys stay ... and stay ... and stay. I could tell by the friend's body language that she really wasn't enjoying it and wanted them to go. Sara's getting really tired. These guys show no signs of wanting to head out. So about 5:30, I went home. Sara was curled up on the couch half asleep.

How should I have played this? The situation was complicated because Sara has a little girl who was asleep in one of the back bedrooms, I lived about 30 mins away, and I doubt she would've left her there with three drunk morons in the house anyway.

I think I've handled it fine since then, I dropped a couple of hints about being annoyed at the situation and kept some distance from her, she was calling me last night as well so I don't doubt that the opportunity is still there. I just wonder how I should've better took control of that situation, in case something similar happens again.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

Hehe. My last gf, when I was living in Arkansas, was a pastor's daughter. It was one of those churches where the women can't wear pants, makeup, cut their hair, etc. Her parents were absolutely livid when she went wild and moved in with me. God, I will never forget that girl!

My friend was telling me about a strip club in MO where, after giving him a lap dance, the girl invited him to her dad's church. Top that. lol
