Going to Barnes and Noble later. I don't have much experience with cooking so are there any cookbooks you would recommend?

alton brown's i'm just here for the food v 2.0 (make sure you getting the one on cooking not baking)

mark bittman's how to cook everything (make sure you don't get how to cook everything vegetarian)

i prefer the first one.
