"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

I just started sleeping with a woman I met on OKCupid after a couple of dates. We had this conversation via text this morning after she told me she was looking at my profile with a friend of hers. The setup: On OKC, there is a question about would you rather be tied up, or do the tying. Her response was "Do the tying." So we've joked about this topic quite a bit, though there has been no tying yet...

Me: A woman in my quiver today wants to be reigned in and dominated. Should I contact her?

Her: YES!!! Do it!!!

Her: Maybe I have a little fetish about you seeing other women. Maybe I'm a bit of a voyeur, truth be told.

Me: Of course you do. When other women want me, it makes me more attractive.

Her: Nice Try. you're plenty attractive. More that I want to hear how the experience was for you, How you felt about this woman. Hard to explain.

Me: Sometimes a little jealousy is a good thing.

Her: See. Nope. Not jealous. More seeing experiences thru a man's eyes.

Me: So you are saying if I told you I had a date last night, you would not be jealous?

Her: Yup. I'd want you to tell me all about it!!!!!

Me: Raising my eyebrows like Mr. Spock. Fascinating.

Her: In fact, I've always wished for the nerve to actually...observe.

Me: That would be a real challenge.

Her: Does this disturb you?

Me: No. It's very unusual is all. But I do think it shows your confidence. And that is very sexy.

Her: Good answer, Mister! So, did you have a date last night?

Me: Probably not a text conversation.

Her: You are SUCH a tease!

Now, a little background is in order. This woman was married for 24 years. I'm the FIRST guy (she says) she dated since breaking up with the ex in over a year. She has three kids (26, 19, and 15. So far, they are a non-issue and there are no plans to meet them), and thought she didn't need to date, but the friend mentioned earlier made her do it. Amazingly, she's playful, funny, sexy, and other than the fact that she's my age (I have been dating mostly women 5-10 years younger), I can't find anything to dislike at this point. That said, I'm also dating two other women whom I like, but have not slept with.

So: Is this woman ok with me dating others because she's so confident, or is it a lack of confidence that she would be open to it? What do you all think?

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

you see what's happening here, right ?

You are trying to bait her, she's not biting and YOU are the who end up asking stupid and naive questions like :
"so you are saying if I told you I had a date last night, you would not be jealous?"

get a grip.

don't talk game with woman, it's not game when you say it, be game.

DON'T SAY, ACT !

whatever she says here is irrelevant. It was a higher level sh!t test and you were totally oblivious.

I'm not trying to "game" her. We've already slept together. We've got high IL - in each other. I'm trying to understand her motivations.
