Conversation King !!!

How can i develop the Silver tounge ? i mean i do well getting into a situation with a chick, but holding up a proper conversation is were i fall really short..
Openers are great to get the intitial mood set, but from there it's all downhill..
I get them to laugh at first (which is always good), but they quickly get bored .. hey at times even i get bored at my own conversations ..
at times i get to the "soooooo, like..... " stage .

Ok OK .. maybe i need to be drunk to start talking to them in the first place but that can't be the only reason.. i can be quick with responses with no effect on them and only later on will i think to myself " OH yeah.. if i said that i would of surely got her " ..

Any techniques available ?

Forget about that.......women were put on this planet to entertain US. Not the other way around. She should be the one stressing out on what to say next.............not you.
