confusing her for someone technique

This is for people scarred to death to approach.
Pretend to confuse her for someone else, and when she denies she's the person you though she was, tell her you thought she was a old friend from highschool or something, then make small talk. Here's an example of how it might go down. (made this up, not something that happened)

In a gym:
me- Jessica smith???
girl-huh
me-you're jessica smith right
girl-oh, no, you have to wrong person
me-oh! you looked like someone who went to my highschool
girl-nope, sorry
me-ah. *stares at her for a second, if she turns away, I don't introduce my self yet. I wait a while then introduce myself. If she keeps looking into my stare, then I introduce myself at that instant.*
me-im name by the way. *puts a hand out to shake*
girl-im name .
guy- *now do small talk* i.e. do you come to the gym often blah blah blah

I havn't tried it yet, but I will next time I go do the gym and theirs a girl working out next to me.

I think its great for begginers, cuz it eliminates allota the fears guys have they'll look like a creepy guy. This way, guys intensions seem pure, their not interested in her, they just wanna see a old friend. However, interest must be established in the stare and small talk if you wanna her her number.

Sounds decent to me. Waiting to see if she maintains eye contact is crucial, though, as if you go right from confusing her with someone to introducing yourself, you make it seem like your intention was to approach all along.

but girls are smart and they know corny pick ups. Now im not gonna say there is no way this convo starter will not work, but its one of those "every 1 out of 10 guys who try this will succed thing"

the only thing thats good about what youve posted that will give it a better chance of working is its surrounding....THE GYM.

i think if its done at the gym, it wont blow up on ya.
