"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Well Kcman, if the girl never asked for an explanation or if she didn't seem too interested in an explanation, you shouldn't go about letting her know all these things. It's kinda like someone just coming up to you talking about something which you have no interest in whatsoever and they expect you to get involved in the whole thing. Personal opinions, feelings and whatever are supposed to be kept to yourself unless you're involved in a discussion about it.

That's why it is extremely annoying when some girls just start blabbing about all their problems and shyt when I never even asked them about it. And when I try to get interested in it, they dislike my methods of approaching it. Better that way so they know not to come to me with all this shyt the next time.

Another thing. Doing things that were never asked of you will undoubtedly cause the other person to think that you're giving in too much or thinking about them too much. If this girl is totally in to you, then you don't really have a problem. But seeing how she's not so into you, letting your heart loose and stuff like that isn't a good idea. Also, not letting the girl know about something until she asks you about it is another good method of keeping mysterious.

I hope you understand where I'm coming from here.

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.
